Two Bosses Enter: Keristrasza vs. Cyanigosa {WoW}

Jan 23rd 2009 7:57PM Even not considering it as a battle, Keri is far more awesome and actually has a plot line... where as with Cyan, she just pops into the center of VH and does Malygos's lackey work. Whoop de do.

Old world boss gold drops reduced in 3.0.8 {WoW}

Jan 21st 2009 11:03AM It's not as though the whole team can only do one of these things at a time.

Somehow I doubt it took many man hours at all to make this change. It's the same thing with people whining about being able to open clams. You're not getting one over the other, here.

Second time through Northrend {WoW}

Dec 23rd 2008 2:47PM My friends and I rerolled about two months before wotlk hit, and so we were still making our way to OL while everyone else was fighting over kobold spawns in Borean Tundra. We just started Wotlk last week- and it's been pretty nice, being a little behind.

We get to take our time and enjoy the amazing scenery, don't have to worry about tagging spawns, and our guildies have already done the instances a few times, so they know all the boss strategies.

The Dos and Don'ts of getting a port {WoW}

Dec 23rd 2008 2:39PM I've always been amazed at how people will randomly invite me to groups without so much as a tell. In my previous MMO this was customary, you never invited someone without an explanation- that would be just plain weird.

Especially when the person isn't even in eye shot. Actually, I've had this one guy that's been randomly inviting me since level 22, over a month ago... despite that my druid is now 70 and he is still 20 or 30-something.

Mount race restrictions lifted, Tauren rejoice {WoW}

Dec 12th 2008 2:00PM I really don't understand all the 'baww it's all one shade of grey now that mount restrictions are gone!' thing.

Riiight... Horde side, this only affected ONE race. Alliance side, this only affected ONE mount type. Do you really think that allowing a tauren to ride a raptor besides the black one is going to affect your personal game play in ANY way?

Seriously. Quit whining. This is a long needed change, and one of the only reasons that I didn't already have more tauren characters.

World of Warcraft PTR 3.0.8 Patch notes {WoW}

Dec 11th 2008 1:08PM Shit yes.

It's about time Taurens can ride more than TWO of five horde mounts... That has been the only reason I don't have more Tauren characters.

Chinese MMO accused of stealing art from World of Warcraft, others {WoW}

Dec 2nd 2008 9:07PM http://img1.igg.com/11/news/2008/11/16/193777789.gif

Wow... it's even named 'Kolkar'. Most petty 14 year old art thieves looking for an ego boost are at least smart enough to change the bloody name.

All the World's a Stage: So you want to be a Horde Warrior {WoW}

Dec 2nd 2008 3:13PM I wound up making an Orc Shaman after reading the orc one- I wanted to play an orc who hadn't tasted the blood, but not be of the Frostwolf clan (as that region didn't seem to fit what I was looking for), so instead she was born around the time of the internment camps and never had access to it.
She was 'raised' in Hammerfall. I say 'raised' because all the orcs were still out of it from the withdrawl and couldn't really be arsed to care for a stray child. Instead she formed a sort of bond with the earth and pulled strength from that to keep her going. (It's still the most powerful element for her.)

It's an interesting character to work with. She doesn't feel quite in place with the rest of her race, and often studies the history and beliefs of other races to see if she can find something more akin to her experiences. The tauren in particular have a great appeal to her.

Downtime extended to 1 O'Clock PST {WoW}

Dec 2nd 2008 3:02PM Looks like a few realms are starting to come up now.

All the World's a Stage: So you want to be a Horde Warrior {WoW}

Nov 17th 2008 5:49AM Nice installment. I'm really looking forward to the rest of this series, as I loved the race ones. They gave me some great ideas.
