Nov 7th 2008 12:35PM My time card runs out just before Wrath, this would be an excellent addition :D
Nov 2nd 2008 5:58PM Since TBC, Ret Paladins have been utterly ridiculed, excluded from being members of parties, heroics, arena, and raids due to their lackluster 'DPS,' which is actually more like inadequate burst damage.
It was hard times being a Retadin in those days, and then the Echoes of Doom came.
We had the sweet taste of success only for a few weeks, and due to the complains of other classes, nearly nerfed back to our our original lackluster status. Talk about progress. A Rogue can still stun-lock you until death, and disarm you longer than a Warrior can, and all ranged classes can still kite us. With no Mortal Strike like ability, taking down healers or those healed is still redundant. It seems like everyone is paying attention to Wrath and not complaining about other issues, for example Dismantle, Arcane Barrage, getting knocked back off a cliff.
These and other issues have been around for years, and have been refused to be addressed. It's like receiving a great meal only to have it pulled away from you after the appetizer, with Blizzard and the other classes snickering in the background. Things don't change, Ret will still be the spec of ridicule in this game.
No, I will not be buying Wrath, or Diablo 3, or StarCraft 2, frankly I am tired of the same-old gear, reputation, and level grind. Wrath will be much the same, just in a different location / setting. Gear not good enough? You can't come, and are excluded. Demand more, you don't have to put up with what they give you, your time is much better spent elsewhere. RIP Ezra
Sep 23rd 2008 7:15PM I have a full course load at university, but most of December off. I will maybe buy it and start playing next summer, but I used to waste so much time on this game.
I haven't played for many months and every single aspect of my life has been steadily increasing. I think I will wait until Diablo 3, unlike WoW you don't need hours and hours to get things done.
Sep 19th 2008 3:21PM Fair enough, it was annoying to keep up, and at 20 Rage could screw up your rotation. But the new Rampage is useless if you have Leader of the Pack, and it was fun having extra AP stacking as you hit things. They should just make it proc and stack when you critically hit.
The rage system is a lot more engaging and fun then the mind-numbing Rogue mechanic, or going oom as an Enhancement Shaman.
Sep 18th 2008 10:08PM In TBC, tanking was my day job.
Fury was my guilty pleasure, and I enjoyed absolutely tearing through dailies and PVE content. It was gimp in PVP, especially Arena, but I still topped every damage chart in BGs.
I want the old Rampage back for more AP, I couldn't care less about Titan's Grip, the way it gets buffed and nerfed every push. I'd prefer two one-handers, 2.60 speed, maybe going deep into Arms to get Sword Spec. You don't need to DW swords for Sword Spec either, since the 6 second hidden cooldown.
As far as the latest news, looks like I'll have to respec Arms, and sigh as I swing my big old Merc. Glad mace, and with no more stuns, Mace spec won't be fun anymore either. /Sigh
Sep 6th 2008 7:18PM Agreed.
With one exception, all of my characters are Humans, due to their racials and they don't look silly with armor on, unlike Trolls.
But to be honest, Diplomacy was quite OP and still is the best racial for endgame, and with Perception you could see all steath classes if they are near your level.
But a feign death style racial looks ridiculous, and might only help casters in PVP, what about melee types who focus on the enemy?
