Oct 2nd 2011 12:43PM Same with the drops from seasonal bosses. The horseman drops a plate helm and a sword. USELESS to almost everyone - I never get them on my Warrior, but always on my Warlock or Priest.
Aug 30th 2011 5:55AM Amazing how every time I come back from a break I always forget about Tuesday maintenance.
Sep 27th 2010 8:31AM I blasted my first toon, a Warrior named Pemberton, straight to 60, no alts. Started in March 2006, and dinged 60 in late August. Since then I'll run a character to the new cap, then start any alts. My wife started Wrath at the same time I did at level 70, and her druid only just dinged 80 last weekend.
I have yet to have a friend pick up and play WoW and not lose interest waaaay before cap. I hear an endless litany of "I thought we were going to play together!" even though I'll help them out. No one I invite to the game EVER wants to level on their own - and this is from adults!
Heck, my mother and stepfather play - but they have a horrible case of alt-itis and I watch them log into a character for 15 minutes, then a different character for 15 minutes, and so on. After three years, I've stopped suggesting they pick one character and run it to the top. Their highest level toon between them is 61. It's like they're afraid of Outland.
So no RL buddies ingame for me. :(
Sep 25th 2010 1:39PM Yes, but Wrath suffered once again from "level-capped zones are always the ugliest".
Storm Peaks and Icerown? SNOW!
Shadowmoon Valley, Netherstorm DEMONIC CORRUPTION!
Burning steppes FIRE!
Silithus BUG INFESTED DESERT!
Eastern Plaguelands UNDEATH!
Let's have just ONE PRETTY LEVEL CAP ZONE AT LAUNCH!!! (Blizz was nice giving up Sunwell Isle in BC in a patch)
Sep 25th 2010 1:29PM If Wrath was so easy, no one would have been concerned about gearscore.
Sep 22nd 2010 6:01PM Indeed. I have enough trouble convincing my friends to pay $15 a month for the game.
Sep 8th 2010 8:51PM Is this thing bugged? Something about not going in the tunnel, someone said. Ours just sort of stopped at the tunnel.
Aug 19th 2010 5:15PM Is there any word yet on how things will be handled in Cataclysm for those who don't buy the expansion, or are still waiting for theirs to arrive when it hits? The patch for that will be a massive download of content!
Jul 29th 2010 8:04AM Lots of people in Beta for Wrath were saying that Wrath would never make 2008 release because it looked so unfinished. I remember someone saying that Dalatran was missing lots of graphics. Fact is, the players are really testing the game mechanics, not the graphics.
The game may look unfinished, but the developers are usually further along than they look.
Jul 24th 2010 7:58AM This "you have to be 80" is good. Too many of the top level zones for expansions became ghost towns as people ran off for the next expansion area at 58 (or 57.9). I never saw the point in letting 58s and 68s into expansion content - it's just two stupid levels.
