Blood Pact: Affliction and Demonology in Patch 3.0.2 {WoW}

Oct 23rd 2008 10:42PM Your mileage may vary.
In T5/6 level gear, I had trouble reaching 1200 dps as affliction - as do all the other warlocks in my guild. It just doesn't scale well at all.

On the other hand, as some have stated, 0/51/15 is decent. I went for 0/56/10, picking up meta, and it's about tied with fg/ruin for dps output. The trick is timing meta to coincide with heroism + trinket.

[UPDATED] I was a teenage Zombie {WoW}

Oct 22nd 2008 8:31PM I think this is the natural progression from the old corrupted blood epidemic. Blizzard obviously saw how much fun we had with it, and decided to implement it properly.

Titan's Grip hit penalty down to 5% {WoW}

Oct 22nd 2008 5:27PM I don't disagree with you, but last night our #1 on damage in BT was a frost mage spamming frostbolt, nothing else.
Same rotation, different classes.

Quested mounts and forms to be trainable in Patch 3.0.3 {WoW}

Oct 21st 2008 6:53PM I fully agree. The warlock mount finale is amazing.

Having said that, I have also done the druid epic flight form chain, and that river race was one of the most fun experiences I have ever had in WoW!

Training Dummies in capital cities {WoW}

Oct 21st 2008 4:12PM Would it not have made sense for blizzard to create just two training dummies: One that reacted as equal level to the player, and another that acted as 3 levels higher?

'Boss' level mobs, as stated above, have their level automatically generated, so it's not like it would have been technically difficult.

Also, the dummies should have been instanced.

BBC: WoW's patches may push some over the bandwidth limit {WoW}

Oct 20th 2008 4:10PM Oceanic countries have to pay for all traffic both to AND from the United States.
Thus, the more data we go through, the more expensive it becomes to operate an ISP. ISPs impose data caps to hold their costs in check.

BBC: WoW's patches may push some over the bandwidth limit {WoW}

Oct 20th 2008 4:07PM I live in NZ on a 20GB limit plan. This is shared by two WoW players, with 3 computers between us. I made the mistake of forgetting to turn off automatic downloading on two of the computers, meaning that the latest patch consumed 6GB of our plan.

Not happy :(

Maelstrom Weapon, Predatory Instincts tooltips incorrect {WoW}

Oct 16th 2008 5:11PM No reason you can't use your maelstrom stacks for a healing spell though, if you're soloing or the healer is struggling on a particular pull..

The truth about Ret fixes {WoW}

Oct 16th 2008 4:00PM Don't forget tanking is significantly easier, the healers were likely standing around with nothing much to do.

Spellpower 101, or how I learned to love unified attributes {WoW}

Oct 14th 2008 5:10PM You seem to forget that dps casters will need close to 450 hit rating, whereas healers need 0. A holy priest will get a 17% resist rate on bosses if they try to dps in their healing gear.
