Patch 3.0.2 graveyard {WoW}

Oct 14th 2008 4:13PM If the past is anything to go by, you'll find yourselves alive at your hearths.

BlizzCon 2008: Bingo results {WoW}

Oct 13th 2008 8:06PM Although this was just a bit of fun, I would like to point out that column 1 was likely to be impossible (unless they announced both the emerald dream AND the maelstrom...)

Breakfast Topic: What confuses you about Patch 3.0.2? {WoW}

Oct 13th 2008 4:39PM I had heard only bosses had 30% less health. Can anyone confirm?

Ready Check: Raid composition for 3.0.2 and beyond {WoW}

Oct 12th 2008 6:51PM The next patch is going to hit some classes hard in the raiding dept. Several classes are getting their stat values modified (enhancement shamans especially), and some classes have had their entire raid-spec destroyed (21/40 warlocks).
While this might be a good thing in the long term (mashing a single button is silly) it means for four weeks, these classes' gear is essentially going to be gimped. I haven't heard whether enhancement shamans are getting int added to their gear, but all those strength gems they've been stacking are now worth half as much. Same goes for 21/40 warlocks - all that carefully stacked +shadow gear is now worthless, since destruction is now, at its core, a fire spec.
I think some classes - especially ones that formerly brought buffs to raids - will understandably be worried that they will be undesirable for raids as their current gear gimps them - and damage may be all they have to offer now.

Oct 8th 2008 7:36PM May as well drop the destro lock, since bosses can't be cast-speed-slowed. Aside from hyjal trash, I daresay noone needs to bring this debuff.

Giving PvE players their own Arenas {WoW}

Oct 8th 2008 6:26PM Perhaps bosses would deal more damage / have more HP based on your current rating.

Oct 8th 2008 5:23PM Some of us *actually enjoy* theorycrafting...squeezing a few more points of dps out of our composition, rotation, spec...
It's not everyone's cup of tea, but that's why the theorycrafters come up with the cookie-cutter specs.

Giving PvE players their own Arenas {WoW}

Oct 8th 2008 5:17PM Welfare epics? At the lowest ranks, you would buy blues with your points (equivalent to regular dungeon bosses). I'm guessing it would take actual PvE skill to regularly defeat a boss encounter for which you are unprepared.

Look! Up in the sky! It's Shaman changes! {WoW}

Oct 7th 2008 5:09PM This isn't unique to elemental (or enhancement) shamans - every caster lacks CoE outside of a raid. The buff is also provided by boomkins at 70, and after wotlk, deathknights.
