Nov 12th 2008 7:15AM If Wotlk really will be this hot, I guess ill need a polar bear before they become extinct bye the greenhouse effect ^^.
Nov 9th 2008 8:24PM The above mentioned Talent builds imo why not go for 2 points in Focused power, 4% dam is nothing to sneeze @
Oct 9th 2008 8:50PM Wow, never seen so many comments ever here :)
Sep 8th 2008 10:38PM The fastest way to level isnt multimob killing. The fastest way to level is actually stacking up as much spirit as possible and kill 1 target 10-15s after another for maximum spirit tap effectiveness. Seeing the talents we can get as priests it shouldnt be too hard to reach like 400 spirit self buffed.
The thing you have to keep in mind is that you can atm kill level 70 mobs with 2 dots, but you will want to quest your way true the expansion. Meeting many mobs you cant 2 dot your way into. The biggest problem is mana inefficiency with the recent VT nerf.
Fear costs a lot of mana, and youll basically be an oombot. 30s drink is a lot of time wasted. Also the fact that creeps are spread out, you want to pickup loot etc. Just means more downtime when you can only multidot like 4 creeps effectively with the risk of fearing em into other mobs or your shield breaking and getting -1s casttime all the time.
Make sure you got green spirit gems, so you can enchant new gear right away with spirit.
A lot of the old leveling has been nerfed. Fear costing almost 400 (after talents 360) mana in wotlk @ lev 70 instead of 100 atm. Makes a shield that costs 540 (after talents) mana much more useful. The shield absorbes a minimum of 1600 damage with a bit decent gear. Thats 800 damage, and another 400 mana returned in the build Ive shown.
This + the fact that shielding is a lot easyer than a fear which can break. Making the reflective shield a nice way to level.
Mental Agility making SWP/Shield cheaper.
Is the build I will end with @ level 80
Basically, the damage loss you suffer @ the shadow tree is neglected by the fact you got more spellhaste and +4% damage from disc talents. Together with the damage you will make with reflective shield.
Consider this a build that gives more regen as you progress spirit wise which wotlk seems rly massive with.
VT with the current nerf isnt rly needed while leveling. Costs a lot of mana and doesnt stack anymore with itself. VT used to be awesome for multitargeting.
Dispersion: Nice pvp talent.
Pain and suffering: creeps should die within 18s.
Shadow Power: nice talent, but I dont rely on crit and rather get mana return on shield instead.
This is all depending on gear offcourse.
Remember that the haste gear you have now, gets less good as you progress. Spirit is your friend, dont worry about to hit till your 80, just attack mobs within your level +1 range talents will do for that.
I think this is the most effective least downtime way of leveling in WOTLK.
Start picking up your spirit gear now!
