One thing when versus Rogue, What can warlock do without our trusted "stealth detector"? Will there only a new skill call "Detect Stealth"?? like "Detect Invisible"??

I wonder what can we do when going against Rogues...
Other than to laugh at their "OH SOMEWHAT MESSUP" 51 talents...

Really... the skill mechanics of Murder Spree should belong to Shadow Dance, and vice versa...

Name-wise, the skill name "Hunger for Blood" fits into the Combat Tree... and "Murder Spree" sounds more Assassination...

Looks like the Rogue designer had a drink too many when designing the Rogue 51pts talent... oh well, at least we warlocks have something to laugh at when they own us...

Here my thoughts on the current skills after some playtime: (new love on DK in beta)

Immolation: One of the best skill, something that working as intended, close-mid range power: But would prefer this over the the "Shadow Shield" I suggest earlier...

Shadow Volley: I see no point in this as it merely deal weak damage, maybe good for pulling in PvE but nothing in PVP lest you in the back... but other skills says Meta is about close-mid range owange... unless its instant of cuz...

Shadowbolt: Bad, I would never use this skill at all with the current form, the cast time kickback sucks big time in PVP, I think I deal more damage in melee with those in leather... make this an instant with CD

Demonic Terror: Nice but could be better, see my earlier post in Meta's CC

Charge: wonderful, esp this can be chain with Immolation and Leap, but still kinda weak as it does not provide much synergy with other skills and in PVP, it can spells faster doom

Leap: same as charge

Somehow, Meta as it is of current form is a serious lackluster, it seems that it only serve to improve melee survivability or to break melee in PVP with the reduced disabler duration and full health (which seems to be the BIGGEST buff and sole reason to go META)... the rest of the skills are merely gadgets...

Kinda wrong in my opinion... and more importantly the gameplay experience does not change much in PVP (better in smaller arenas but not in larger/prolonged fights)... it does performs better in PVE though but META ought to be better...

And truth be told, it feels like Warlock's version of "Cheat Death" in both PVP and PVE...

ADD:
And if possible do add an instant Corruption like ability that does Seed of Corruption AOE at end of tick... it feels strange for a warlock Demon to be without DoT other than Immolation...

I was intending it to be a merge of Shadowward and Power Word:Shield... where its a shield that absorbs damage at the same time dealing shadow damage...

P.S:
One "concept" that I like is that the Warlock actually "soul merge (READ: consumes)" with current pet and morphs into various entities...

But that seems out of focus of this thread intention... too late into beta... and hard to balence correctly... sorry if this is troll...

~ both "Artistic display" and "Gameplay"

SKILL ALLOCATION:
1> Charge: (Art) runs forth like Warriors? Since it has wings, why not make it a "Charge via Wings" outlook?

2> Charge: (Gameplay) Inaddition to stun effect, throws in a knockback, (target is knockback first then stun takes effect upon landing) so it can be chain with other skills like "LEAP" or bolts

3> Leap: (Art) Remove the thunderclap animation and use the Shadowfury AOE effect instead

4> Shadow Volley (Gameplay): Remove the Volley and change it to "Shadow Nova" instead with pushback, since Meta is all about "mid-range" pwnage. (I am imagining Kiljean's DESTRUCTION "Wing-spread" animation...)

5> Shadowflame: I wonder if they should make this skill MEta only, since it looks like a Demon Screaming and breathing Darkfire... it will be an instant cone AOE but then throw in a dazed + horrored effects for some CC ~ it does look like a demonic version of "Howl of Terror"

6> Shadowbolt: Either they make it instant (so it looks like a flying punch) with CD or they replace it with a soulshard-free Shadowblast.

7> Shadowward: Now this will give us a little edge as we "supposed" clothies get into melee... every damage helps

8> Demonic Ascension (from WH40k haha): Everytime the Warlock take the form of demon there will be a discharge of energy that knockback those in close proximity (like Shaman's Thunderstorm)

All in all, the whole idea I am bringing forth is that with the SHORT timer for META, the skills given should be ALL be instant or at least cast on move. No CAST TIME skills please! We have enough of those as a Warlock. And META should just introduce something different (at least gameplay wise):

Let us tear at their face with our demonic bare hands!
~ I do not mind a 10 minute CD, just give me 30 seconds of Demigod form and I am happy.

Just my 2 cents... for my love for Warlock... and the coming Death Knight...

Meta needs only some tweaking. Down the road, with cries and flames in the local Blizz forum, I believe that Meta will get tweaked for the next few coming patches.
