Apr 23rd 2011 10:26AM "Unknown leaves the guild" ALWAYS appears if the character is deleted or transferred AFTER leaving the guild.
If a character who is still guilded is deleted or transferred, the guild log will SHOW NOTHING.
I can't explain why it says this if the character is not deleted/transferred, other than the theory that it seems to say it if you were logged in when they left, but not so much after it happens.
Aug 14th 2010 12:50AM the part that starts just after 6:00 is my favourite...
That music in the trailers when the game came out is what really sold me.
Jun 27th 2010 10:32PM My very first character was a Human Mage, made in 2005, who I deleted once I was told to change server to where some school friends played.
I then made a Gnome Mage with pink hair. I ventured too far out of the starting area, and tried to attack a level 5 boar which promptly resisted everything I threw at him and killed me.
I think I spent some time in Dun Morogh just talking to people not having a clue about what to do.
I met another gnome warlock about my level, who helped me a lot, and I remained friends with her up to this day.
I remember all the deaths, having a grand plan to retake Gnomeregan with some friends - we made the guild Gnome Patrol, a Gnome only guild. We would use bandages to compensate for no healers.
Generally, my early memories involve a lot of deaths and I think I spent about a month in Dun Morogh...
Jan 30th 2010 8:39AM Halls of Lightning shows Azeroth to be a globe and Kalimdor and EK are on the same "side" of the globe (the one always shown).
Black temple also shows them together on a round globe.
Jan 30th 2010 8:38AM Azeroth is most likely round.
In Black Temple, before Illidan, you see it in the sky.
The reason the sun rises at the same time in Kalimdor and EK is because they are on the same side of the globe.
At least, I think :P I just know you can see them both when looking at the round planet above BT, and Halls of Lightning shows the world as a globe.
Sep 5th 2009 9:31AM I did the same thing with my Gnome, couldn't stand having a hair colour other than pink...
Aug 22nd 2009 7:36AM With the revamping of old zones, I wouldn't be surprised if you were able to get to 70 without going through outland.
Aug 22nd 2009 12:02AM The Blue = Water
The Grey = CURRENTLY accessible areas
Yellow = Currently inaccessible, mountains, unfinished terrain etc.
Red = New Zones
Yes, there really is that much land inaccessible in the current game
