Feb 23rd 2011 8:12PM I'd kill for an official forum browsing app, honestly. Cruising the forums from my iPhone isn't too bad, but having a more streamlined app for it would make my life at work much more enjoyable.
Apr 7th 2009 7:10PM My only concern would be as a Frost tank. I'm not a big fan of DW tanking as it stands. If they change Frost to the DW tree, would that alter the tanking play-style enough to screw 2h Frost tanking?
Mar 25th 2009 8:05AM Not Death Knights in particular, but having all three trees able to tank. Great idea on paper, but it plays hell on balance issues.
Nov 24th 2008 8:31AM Having tanked The Nexus, Utgarde Keep, and Azjol-Nerub (DK tanking, ftw!), I'll say each have their own pro's and con's. Well...The Nexus is con's...not counting the rewards and sheer amount of exp. I love the less trash, more boss way of thinking so far though. I've seen some interesting mechanics that is just plain fun, if annoying (Keristrasza, for one, having to keep moving/jumping). I also love the short instances... Even bad PUGs can tough it through a 30 minute instance lol.
Oct 26th 2008 4:43PM 1400+ DPS?
Not likely. T4/badge gear, and I can BARELY hit 1400 DPS on a 4 mob pull full of demon/undead.
The problem is all the "King/Queen's of DPS" crying that they're getting beat. And not just by Ret's, but by Arm's warriors to. "OMG melee beat me?!?" Seriously...you may say that ranged should be king, that because we wear plate it's not fair, but have you seen how fast we can die in a non-melee friendly enviroment? That plate armor mitigates more damage than cloth, but w/o defensive numbers, its only marginally better.
I for one am glad that melee dps in general has gotten a boost...since ranged only have to stand and shoot, we actually have to pay attention and work. It's only fair that we should do a little more damage, while you (who get to play in the relative safety of max range) get to keep going long after all the melee dies.
Oct 26th 2008 1:59AM I've been a Holy pally from day 1. I've recently respecced Ret, and am enjoying the hell out of it. Topping Recount is nice for a change. I'll be the first to admit that Ret pallies are OP. VERY OP. But Blizz has said that everything is tuned for level 80. That being said, how can one NOT expect someone to be OP. That's 10 levels that alot of classes are missing, when Ret's get their goods by level 70, and the rest is icing on the cake.
I understand the nerfs to PvP. In thrown together gear, I was rolling through BGs like a hot knife through butter. It almost felt like cheating. If I caught a clothie not prepared, they died. That's not fair. In PVE, on the other hand, I say let Ret have their day. If we're OP at 80, nerf us. Please. I'm all about being fair and balanced. But for the class that has been laughed at since WoW's inception (with the exception of Arenas), I think it's fair to let those hardcore Ret guys pretend they're a plate wearing mage for a few weeks.
I do wish that people, who EXPECT to be the top of the meters, and EXPECT to have guaranteed spots in raids, should have to fight for them, like everybody else. I'm tired of "LF 3 more DPS (mage/lock/hunter) for ". I'm tired of when people see Ret pallies, Arms warriors, and other "LOL L2RESPEC NOOB!" they automatically write them off as 2nd rate, and say "Nah, find a mage/lock/hunter".
It's things like this that can drive a humongous player base, or at least a fraction of it, to go try other games, or give up on MMO's altogether.
Blizzard, stop listening to all the pre-teens whining about OP Ret pallies, and start paying attention to the fact that you just brightened EVERY pally's day (with the exception of Holy...I mean...wtf mate?).
