Feb 20th 2009 8:46PM You win!
They got rid of the !
it's just 'Panic at the Disco' now
Feb 9th 2009 4:00PM There are a lot of things that are different about druids and archdruids. Just because it's similar doesn't mean it's just an upgrade to druid. I believe we will have an archdruid hero class, but they'll call it Grovekeeper so people don't whine "we already have druids"
By the logic of "this idea is just an OP version of that existing class" then paladins should be better than both warriors and priests, non?
Imagination use you must.
Dec 29th 2008 2:56PM @ James:
the "lying to myself" putting-my-fingers-in-my-ears-and-singing-lalalalalala-while-you-tell-me-the-truth religion is, was, and always will be Christianity. No religion has caused so much death, prejudice, and stupidity. Not to mention obstruct scientific research and diplomatic growth. Do not insult the Wiccans, let them do what they will.
Dec 29th 2008 2:29PM Actually, the druid/shaman/priest/paladin ressurection spells are just game mechanics. They added them so every time a group wipes, everyone doesn't have to run back, just SS the healer (also just a mechanic) or reincarnate or whatever and rez the rest.
Nov 10th 2008 1:24PM I'm not entirely sure if this question fits in here, but oh well:
Is Dalaran going to be as laggy as Shattrath?
I used to laugh at my friend, whose computer was slower than mine and could barely support Shat, and now I'm crawling from Scryers tier to the portals with ~1 frame per second and latency off the charts.
I wasn't sure if the new graphics engine for Wrath and all of that would make Dalaran livable, so I figured I'd ask~
Nov 6th 2008 3:42PM It'll be like riding a feral druid w/ the Glyph of the White Bear!!~
Sep 28th 2008 11:54PM ay, ye be right sharp. ...how do you say "poor choice of words on my part" in pirate? eh, why not.
"it be a poor choosing of words on my part, it is"
Sep 28th 2008 8:38PM Yay! Thank you very much. The insight into the Orc/Kaldorei conflict is very appreciated.
...C'Thun with an eyepatch? arr, methinks 'twould a challenge wort'y of being told in a dingy tavern in Tortuga with a minstrel on me lap! (a little late for Talk Like A Pirate Day, but oh well)
all the best~
Sep 22nd 2008 4:03PM My friend and I have been arguing recently over the death of the demigod Cenarius. I was hoping for some clarification. I (a diehard Nelf) say that Cenarius was only protecting the forest the orcs were cutting, while she (a Nelf turned Hordie) says that Cenarius attacked the Orcs for no reason and their only choice was to kill him. Which one of us gets the bragging rights?
Sep 9th 2008 4:44PM You mages and warlocks and rogues and hunters who think Moonkin can do everything.
I've played a Moonkin from 1 to 70 and am currently raiding Kara, only because my current guild is too small to replace me right now.
I HAVE YET to run Magister's Terrace through the end.
I have been rejected by both "pure classes" and hybrids, because "they want CC" even though they already have a rogue or a mage, but they want the other too instead of my dps, which is better than who they replaced me with.
Everyone QQ's the same thing, "druids can do it all so they should be weaker than the pure classes"
A Moonkin cannot dps, pop out to heal the MT when the healer dies, take over for the tank when he dies, and heal ourselves in the process.
I admit Moonkin can be okay emergency healers, but we can't keep a tank alive for more than a few seconds.
We can't tank. We wear caster gear, after all. even with the armor bonus, bosses would make short work of us. we can't even stand up against elites for very long.
Since when does a Balance druid melee dps, uh, ever?
I sometimes use Pounce and immediately switch Moonkin during the stun, but only if I'm already prowling to evade unneeded mobs. that never happens in a dungeon, usually only Quel'Danas.
Have you ever seen a deep balance druid try to keep a tank alive, emergency or just helping after a wipe?
our heals don't do anything.
so you say that just because we can heal ourselves in a pinch, that we should not be as powerful as the other dps classes.
Speccing Moonkin, speccing Resto, or speccing Feral, means you give up the versatility and focus on whatever job you spec for. speccing balance means we can't tank or melee, and can't heal seriously w/o respeccing and re-gearing.
There is no "jack of all trades" after level 30 or so, because after that a druid that wants to be balance can't use bear or cat form. a feral druid's damage spells become useless and healing spells are only used in soloing.
now, all you mages and rogues and locks who say giving Moonkin a little extra damage is making them the only class to play.
Go level a druid all the way from level 1.
No, level a Balance druid from level 1.
see how much fun it is "being able to do everything"
... I apologize for my lengthy and aggrovated post, but being passed on for MgT, and out-damaged in Kara by a long shot, I really have no tolerance from QQers who think druids and not the other OP classes should be nerfed.
