Jun 30th 2009 10:53AM Oh please give me a break.
They didn't want "credit", but they sure as hell took advantage of their quest item achieved through illegitimate means. If they were really serious about not wanting that they should have destroyed their hodir sigils as well as the other loot they received from it.
"However we are not going to sit here and get screwed over by Blizzard."
Funny how people complain about entitled casuals wanting free purplez, and here we have entitled hard core raiders who feel that they are so entitled to progress that they should be allowed to cheat to get that progress.
Just to be clear, I'm not pro-Exodus, just pointing out the way Exodus handled itself during this was pretty classless, the underlying attitude exhibiting by both them and Ensidia (as well as the entitled casuals whining about not being able to get free purples) are 100% the same.
Both of them have no qualms about cheating, and will justify it about any way they can because they both are entitled crybabies.
Jun 30th 2009 8:56AM First off, ban != suspension. They were not banned, they were suspended for 72 hours.
Secondly, Exodus deserves the suspension and it's kind of stupid they're crying about it, but there is definitely a double standard here.
You can say Ensidia didn't cheat as much on Hodir as Exodus did on Yogg+0. You can say they were "noble" in being upfront about what they did. But cheating is cheating is cheating. They might have not cheated as much as Exodus did but their Hodir HM kill was illegitimate and it should have been taken away.
It doesn't matter if it was mathematically impossible. If you say Exodus can't use that as an excuse, then you can't say Ensidia can take that rationale either. They should have waited till Blizz re-tuned the encounter, just like every other guild racing for world 1sts had to.
Of course it's pointless to retroactively go back and punish Ensidia, but it would be nice if Blizzard would be more consistent in the future.
Jun 8th 2009 10:24PM I guess I'm not too upset about the nerf, but the rationale is really disturbing to me.
If it's balanced for the higher brackets as GC said, how is it not balanced in the lower brackets? It's the same game, the same classes, same mechanics etc. It's just mind boggling.
Jun 1st 2009 10:48AM If traffic directed from just WoW.com's link was solely responsible, I'm willing to bet they're just running this server off someone's personal computer.
Jun 1st 2009 10:27AM Just because they say they're getting it directly from the armory doesn't mean they're reading the information they're getting correctly.
Apr 24th 2009 3:37PM "The trash before XT-002 is different. The stratagy is you actually have your raid move far, far back and then have something like a druid kite it. The little mechanical gnomes that pop those shields up move VERY VERY SLOW giving you ample time to just aoe down the rest of the easy trash (just make sure to watch out and kill razorblade). You can then deal with gnomes easily."
They actually didn't move slow, they were clearly bugged out. Once we dealt with the bots we moved to the gnomes and they were kind of spazzing out spam casting the defensive shield in packs of 2 (which never actually went up until we started attacking them). Considering that they spazz out when they try to exit XT's room and move perfectly fine when you try to engage them from inside the room I'm going to take a wild guess and say it's wasn't intended to do the kite to Vael's room strat.
Nov 18th 2008 3:01PM "I don't think anybody expected it to be a step up from Sunwell Plateau, but we also didn't expect the new raids to be done in PUGs with greens. That's too much."
TwentyFifthNovember is a pug in greens? lolwut?
These encounters have been available in beta for a month or 2 already. I'm willing to wager a good bit of them had already done the original Naxx encounters as well.
I don't think the problem is the difficulty of the raids, but rather the fact that people have been leveling to 80 so quickly. It took me maybe 3 weeks to hit 70 from 60. I'll probably ding 80 tomorrow or tonight if I really do nothing but quest when I get home from work. And I haven't really been playing nonstop, really, I've gone to work and been gone out during last weekend. This outcry really wouldn't be happening if these clears had happened 2 weeks later or even this weekend.
We knew the hardcores were going to one-shot this place. That is not shocking or really any cause for concern.
When real pugs in greens are actually clearing Naxx on a regular basis, then we can say that's cause for concern.
Nov 10th 2008 9:32PM And to clarify, those prereleases were indeed at a mall store.
Nov 10th 2008 9:31PM This is rather confusing.
Gamestop does midnight releases for just about every major game. A couple friends of mine both got Smash Brawl and Spore at midnight releases. Maybe it's a regional thing.
Well guess I gotta call to confirm it tomorrow.
Nov 1st 2008 9:38PM They didn't revert a buff, they put the AW/DS situation in an even worse shape than it was pre 3.0.
Forbearance used to last 1 minute, now it lasts 2. It was already unusable in areans with a 1 minute forbearance, now the situation is even worse. And now it's even unusable for prots as it is.
