Insider Trader: Highlights of Wrath crafting, Tailoring edition {WoW}

Dec 13th 2008 3:30PM Is there really a point to classifying a single person mount as a vehicle, instead of just a normal mount? Especially if you still require the appropriate riding skill to use it.

As a Death Knight, I don't see much point to vehicles if they don't work with my On a Pale Horse, aside from the albino drake achievement.

WoW Insider Show live tomorrow afternoon {WoW}

Dec 13th 2008 1:41PM Well honestly, I can't listen to this show now that Turpster is on it.

WoW, Casually: What Patch 3.0.8 holds for casual players {WoW}

Dec 13th 2008 11:12AM Can't wait...will definitely help Tauren with that awkward mount achievement :D

Breakfast Topic: Are you a Trade Chat grammar narc? {WoW}

Dec 13th 2008 8:49AM I don't really correct grammar anywhere in WoW, because it's a lost cause, and really doesnt affect me at all. Though if you do have bad grammar, people are going to figure you're one of those twelve year olds (who shouldn't even be playing, based on the ESRB rating, I might add!)

I confess that i've 'added fuel to the fire' for fun a few times though. It's funny when two nerds are fighting on there because someone got a lore fact wrong :) Or simply throwing a joke in there, because honestly, who gets that angry over a video game?

Correcting someone's grammar is fine, but because it's used so much as a means of proving someone wrong in an argument, that it can become just as childish as spelling everything wrong in the beginning.

Theres always the inevitable controversy that stems from the neverending dead-horses like politics (election day in the US was a horrible day for trade!), creationism vs. evolution, and so on, which generally go nowhere, and continue on until one of them has to go raid, or their BG queue pops.

Breakfast topic: The good old days {WoW}

Dec 12th 2008 10:49AM - Running all the way back to IF or Org to auction.

- running out of the tunnel in IF to the bank/ah area, only to walk smack into a wall of lag.

- Raiding Crossroads/Astranaar before the honor system, because it was there.

- On Horde, hunting across half of Kalimdor looking for Rexxar during the Ony key quest.

- Popping out of a BG in Stormwind, only to be mauled by a then currently active Onyxia event in the throne room.

-Taking the boat to Auberdine, and ending up in the sea next to the zone border. Somewhat related, Captain Placeholder.

Jewelcrafting's flawed design {WoW}

Dec 10th 2008 7:54PM Heh, it beats my engineering. We get diddly squat when it comes to recipes.

Basically, the only recipe outside of the trainer from 375-450, are the bikes.

Poll: Are you level 80 yet? {WoW}

Dec 7th 2008 9:23PM I'm a level 80 DK. Calling it my main, seeing as I don't play my old toon anymore (his guild died).

But...cows....they go moo.

On the search for Heavy Frostweave Bandages {WoW}

Dec 1st 2008 8:24PM If you don't instance before 75, you'll most likely find it off of non-elite trolls in Zul'Drak.

Forum post of the day: For fun and profit {WoW}

Sep 13th 2008 12:55PM Well they could just replace the blizzcon flag with a giant epeen, because that's basically what it is.

With the massive demand on tickets, and the foulup blizzard had with selling them - why are blizzcon attendees pissed that DirectTV subscribers can get it? The guys who want them will just ebay for them anyway. The DirectTV thing will probably just lower the ebay price, honestly. Personally, I'm going to listen to WoW Radio's coverage, because unlike directTV, they'll probably have hosts that actually know about the games.

If you want to really impress someone, show them a PvP Arena drake, or some loot from the top-tier raid boss. Whether or not this requires skill is a matter of opinion, but it still shows you've accomplished the top level of your chosen vocation, be it PvP or Raiding.
