Jul 7th 2009 2:07PM Pretty much with you there. I'd like addons that help with organization. I'd like to be able to move and resize the windows of the default UI. CoH does it fine, and it's a pretty old game, too.
Jul 1st 2009 9:42AM I agree completely about the scenic routes.
My favorite example of scenic route abuse is from that SSO daily (The Air Strikes Must Continue, added in 2.4) in which you "bombed" up and down the Dead Scar from a flying mount. The mount would take you on the tour around the island every time, which would result in about a minute and a half of waiting before you could actually start bombing. Apparently, the SSO wasn't too concerned with bombing efficiency in the Scar.

I was thinking that exact same thing. For all those Belf DKs that got to 80, farmed mats, rep-slaved and geared up ... and then wished they had rolled Troll.
Really? Just me?
Jun 25th 2009 3:32PM Heh. Yeng is right. Apparently, the nerf whiners were hotfixed last night, too. Whining whiners are next.
Jun 25th 2009 3:22PM As everyone rushes to "reserve" some version of that name now.

I want to buy you a beer. You rock the casbah.
Jun 24th 2009 9:24AM Actually, I rarely think of WoW as a role playing game. But I imagine these changes would benefit the role playing community quite a bit. Less time leveling, more time role playing.

Most professional critics are paid to talk about movies. Listen to people that aren't. 2527 Yahoo users give it an average A- right now.
But I'll throw the critics a bone. They give it a C+, which is pretty decent for a comedy (especially while The Hangover is fresh in our minds and might be ruining other comedies for a while). If C+ is "reprehensible" and "terrible" I'm curious to know what words describe D's and F's.

I think your analogy is a bit off. It would be more like offering the Cliff's notes alongside the regular version. These addons and modifications don't make it so you CAN'T read the quest log. They also don't force you out of the area at a set time. You can still do all of the quests.
Also, the type of people that are new to the game and rush to the end are probably not going to be very different players by taking all of these things away from them. Let them rush. Someone needs to buy all of my crap off the AH.
