Sep 21st 2009 1:17PM Talisman of Resurgence is more than just a starter trinket for a holy paladin. It is argueably one of the BiS trinkets.
Sep 2nd 2009 1:53PM I do think that this was creative and challenging, and congrats to them. However, I don't think that it proves that a random person in blues who hasn't done the bosses before is likely to be as good for a raid as a person in epics who has. Skill is a really important factor, but gear and experience are also important (and in this case, they do have the experience). Since you can't tell the skill of a pug when they join a raid, the only thing you can go by is gear and experience, so gear and acheivement checks still make sense.
Jul 13th 2009 4:19PM My guild uses a dkp system, so this isn't such as issue for us. However, we normally have about 4 holy paladins in the raid, and only one resto shaman. If we didn't roll on mail, each paladin would only get 1/4 the gear of the resto shaman. Do you think it's fair to roll on mail in this case?
Jun 24th 2009 3:56PM The reason that they buffed MP5 is that, unlike spirit, it gives no bonus to any class other than mana regen. They want it to be closer to the value of spirit. Right now obviously spirit is better for a lot of healing classes, even though MP5 does the same thing for them that it does for shamans or paladins. If MP5 were equivalent, whether these classes wanted MP5 or spirit would be a harder decision.
Jun 24th 2009 10:08AM How disappointing. From the lack of mention of achievements, I would guess that there's none of those, either.
Jun 10th 2009 5:52PM And Blizzrd shouldn't have taken back Martin Fury, the shirt that could instantly kill things, right? After all it was Blizzard that mailed it out.
Jun 9th 2009 2:32PM As a holy pally I don't think Mp5 is bad, but it's not currently as useful as crit or int per itemization point. We still do need some form of regen stat, be it crit, int, or Mp5. I think increasing Mp5 on gear would make Mp5 gear more useful, but they'd have to increase it by a lot. If they made it provide significantly more regen than crit point per point, it would become more desireable.
Jun 9th 2009 2:19PM I can't think of any PvE-oriented specs that are actually failing in PvE.
From what I've seen, demonology warlocks are good for PvE soloing, but not for raiding.
Mar 17th 2009 10:11AM On second thought, I can imagine solo healing the four horsemen would be really tricky. It would be hard to heal the front and back at the same time.
Mar 17th 2009 10:08AM I also don't consider this to be very impressive. I have solo healed Patchwerk before on 10 man myself, when we were trying for the under 4 minutes achievement, and it wasn't hard. I'm pretty sure I could solo heal the rest without too much trouble. The riskiest part I could see would be getting ice blocked on Kel'Thuzad. If you get ice blocked it's a wipe I guess, unless someone heals you for that.
