You will have that option in cataclysm: roll a dwarf shammy!

I know for me, I'm more excited about cataclysm than the conclusion of the ICC story because I'm just plain sick of Arthas at this point.
I never found him an interesting character to begin with, and what's ironic is that the most interesting thing he's done around this xpac was technically back in bc with the scourge invasion event. Since then, he's just popped up occasionally to antagonize us and sometimes get beaten back while spouting "This...isn't...over..." in all his cartoonish villany. *Yawn*
Illidan hardly ever showed his face during bc, but he was still a far more interesting character - as were his lieutenants. I'm not expecting much from Deathwing in terms of personality, but atleast we can move on from Arthas' monopolization of the spotlight since warcraft 3. Fighting something that isn't undead will be a nice change of pace too (unless you're a worgen, but atleast the forsaken make you legitimately hate them enough to want to kick their bony butts).
Dec 30th 2009 6:51PM Great article. I especially liked how you pointed out that the Alliance was mostly a reactionary measure to the Horde. A lot of players don't seem to realize that sometimes.
I'm looking forward to the next article as well. These are helping me fill in my gaps in knowledge after playing warcraft 3 and the frozen throne expansion. I'll be a lore nerd in no time :) !

Good thing I'm not going to teach English instead ^^;...
Dec 29th 2009 8:08PM Kudos to you, Gauss. As an aspiring educator myself, I've got a lot of respect for those with the patience to spread their knowledge to the masses. Keep up the good work!
I'm going into related field of logic/critical thinking, which while sorely needed among the greater WoW community, will probably not be met with such praise when introduced in trade chat =/.
Dec 23rd 2009 8:26PM I'll actually be completely satisfied when subtlety is raid viable without a specific composition or exploits, and is not only competitive with the other two trees but carves it's own niche. Wishful thinking, I know...
Dec 12th 2009 11:02PM I don't get where you came up with Jaina being more evil by any stretch of the imagination - she was audibly taken aback by what happened to those slaves. We could assume that both of them tried their best to save as many as they could, but that doesn't give Sylvanas a right to be completely disrespectful.
I think I, and many others, hate her as a character because if she didn't need to be there as a faction leader and lame plot device for game reasons, she would have realistically been torn apart and scattered to the far corners of Azeroth by her own subjects or the rest of the horde by now. They would certainly have ample reason lol.
Dec 12th 2009 10:35PM Counterspell; your tanks and healers will thank you.
Unless you pull threat with it and don't invis, or run toward the tank; then they may not /shrug.
Dec 12th 2009 6:41PM *the only healing spec with similar problems is probably the holy paladin
Typo, or freudian slip, you decide :p.
