Nov 6th 2008 7:57PM MOUNT ME!!!
...err, um nm. I would like a polar bear though.
Nov 4th 2008 3:14PM Politics in trade?
To be honest, the people who talk politics in game seem to be 14 year olds who say ignorant uninformed things like "Obama is a muslim" because they are parroting w/e paranoid xenophobe said it most recently
I frequently need to find things that ppl in my guild can not provide. Trade is the only way I can do this. But I hate having to fight the:
-Anal [Spell name]
-[Spellname] your mom
-Murloc (movie title)
A previous poster said "Link General Chat in the main cities." I think that would be awesome. that would let the people who want to monopolize a channel a more appropriate place. Also let the people looking for a group for things like Headless horseman/Brewfest Boss use that without having to use Trade.
Nov 4th 2008 3:11PM YES!
I wholeheartedly agree with this. Then I can keep the /1 off in cities (and most other places) and use trade for....well, omigosh: TRADE!
Oct 12th 2008 4:26PM if you have a stabled pet that is more than 5 levels lower than you after the patch, when you take it out it WILL level. This was covered by a BRK post too I believe.
Oct 7th 2008 11:45AM at original poster. I can sort of understand how you would not get this skill.
BUT, after playing on the ptr for a little while I did. 5 minutes later I had a /cast [target:player] Healing Wave macro and I had art of war. I let it stack 5 times so I never had to interrupt my melee rotation of stormstrike/shock/lavalash when soloing elites.
Oct 7th 2008 11:29AM What a lot of people seem to be missing is that there ARE people who like to pvp, but don't enjoy arenas. Battlegrounds and world pvp for example. Esp with the upcoming pvp zones. How do these people get gear?
Contrary to what several articles on wowinsider have stated, I think the way Blizz did BC pvp gear was pretty good. A set of blue pvp gear was available at 70. NOT the rep based blue gear. It was available with honor and the model set was the same as the level 60 GM set.
That gave people for both arenas and BGs a way to start gearing up without doing arenas.
I think a dual purchase price for a set of blue pvp gear would be fair such as:
Helm: 300 Arena points OR 2500 honor
weapon: 500 Arena points OR 6000 honor.
That was the people who just want to jump right into arenas with their quest reward gear can do so. The people who are not so good at dueling can help and be helped in BGs can work on their pvp gear too.
But making the entry level gear REQUIRE that people do both formats when not everyone enjoys them seems a bit exclusionary.
Sep 28th 2008 2:19PM your last stand ability is a trinket at the PvP vendor waiting for you to buy it.
if you want to be silly and make statements that make no sense...
I will make a prot warrior statement to equal it:
"Where is my bubble and self healing?"
Sep 27th 2008 2:58AM in BC, I was able to cobble together a set of crit immune tanking gear at 68. 490 defense? np. Between watching the AH for " ..of the Champion" gear and banking quest rewards, it was fairly easy.
Being crit immune should be a goal of a tank, especially one who is serious about raiding. but not for regulars, and apparently they want to make it so you don't actually get those stats unless you are serious about tanking.
THANK GOD, I say, to resilience not working outside of BGs/Arenas. I am not a raiding snob, but it seriously did irritate me when I would be on an alt pugging somewehre and see the tank come in wearing S2 gear, like that automatically qualified him to tank. Almost always have a worse experience that the guy who was in all blues, but appropriate stat gear.
Sep 25th 2008 7:45PM The difference is that the people in T6 are getting their gear in BC. NOT WotLK.
the honor hoarders would be stacking honor, to get GEAR in WotLK.
So why would people complain that people in T6 can start raiding almost right away? You can start PvPing right away.
And that is the apples to apples comparison, NOT PvP vs PvE gear.
And once we start raiding again in the 10 and 25 mans, there is going to be no comparison to BC gear. Have you seen the stats? ridiculous. And as wwas mentioned...guess what? Hit rating is not comparable, neither is crit, or spellpower.
I don't see what the big deal is.
Sep 25th 2008 9:47AM I have seen the same behavior displayed on the PTR.
What you have is a collection of people concentrated from all realms who normally live in trade chate doing retarded things like: Chuck norris, Murloc... and Anal [Spellname].
@the people who complain about the Beta being buggy...
wow. That's the whole reason you were given a key. To help make it not buggy. You are a beta tester. Not sure you people are any less worthy of being reviled than the ones this thread was made for.
