Mar 25th 2009 12:57PM HUNTERS ARE BROKEN

Hunters. Blizzard didn't know what the hell they were doing with Hunters. The class is still broken, which leads to hunters claiming they're under powered, and everyone else says they're over powered.

The entire class, the idea of it's place in raids, pvp, and groups, needs to be over hauled, and rethought.

We (hunters) are a RANGED MELEE dps, with a PET, that wears MAIL.

Talents, and the talent trees, should be a more defining point of the hunter, and should quiet literally change the way the class is played for each, much how Paladins, or DK's are entirely different to play based on the spec.

Beast Masters should trade off Beast Skills, for ranged combat. IE Increased damage, haste, and crits from pets, at the COST of losing some ranged dps. In return, BM skills could boost Hunters Melee abilities, allowing the BM and Pet to fight side by side.

Marksmen Should be entirely focused on Ranged combat. There should be a talent that provides them with increase AP, Crit, or Haste, or a combination of one of the two, while they DO NOT have their pet out. They should also have a talent that provides increased haste when wearing Leather armor, to silence all those that complain about ranegd dps in mail.

Survivalist Should be what blizzard sees the hunters as now. A Hybrid of ranged dps, pet control, trades, and abilites that allow survival. Survivalist should be the Essential Lvling spec for hunters, and well as versatial enough to be useful in end game.

A 'Stance' style of game play could even be introduced, Much like the warriors, but switching between the different talents of the hunter, reflecting the suggestions made above. IE

BM Stance: Higher CD on Ranged attacks, Diminished Ranged AP. Higher Pet DPS and Increase Hunter Melee DPS aswell as shorted CD on Melee Abilities.

MM Stance: Lost of Pet, and weakened Melee dps and Armor penalty. Greatly Increased Ranged AP, Crt chance, and Mana regen.

SURV: Generic Hunter stance. Equivilant of warriors 'Battle Stance'.

Not that anyone from blizzard will read, and or consider these ideas.

Dec 15th 2008 2:41PM Follow up point;

Those complaining about the nature of this post or condemning the customer? Probably have done something similar to the blacksmith at some point. They're not defending him. They're defending themselves.

Dec 15th 2008 2:18PM Re-read. The Blacksmith was not 'a friend' but an 'acquaintance'.

Dec 15th 2008 2:16PM I'm of the opinion the Blacksmith should have both returned the tip, and the 13g. If 25g is not a lot in the grand scheme of inflation, whats the point of keeping it?

Is the Blacksmith that hard up for cash? Do he need it for mailbox dancers?

Also, this is a game. Do we really need harsh life lessons in a game?
The customer was both pleasant and fair, dare I say overtly generous to the blacksmith for tipping him even after the lose of the mats. The Blacksmith returned this kindness with flat out asshattery. Bravo, Bravo.

No one perfect. We've all done and said things that later we might realize were dumbass things to do. Yet this Blacksmith seems to hold no remorse, even when pressured by peers in moral conduct.

Nov 16th 2008 2:48PM Though this may not be the proper forum for this question and find it to be the best resource for an answer. Question:

Is there any sign of Dungeon Set blues in Wrath? Sets that function similar to the dungeons sets of WOW vanilla and BC, before players move onto tiered armor?

Nov 2nd 2008 12:28PM In the WC3 RTSG TFT, the Blood Elves and Naga teamed up to wage a massive battle against Arthas right on the slopes of Icecrown. It's already been mentioned that settlements and Ruins from further back, when Arthas's expedition land are still there. Is there any sign of the Belf and Naga ruins from their assault?
