Feb 7th 2010 9:01PM So wait.....people can't RP as a Vampire because it's not realistic? LOL
Feb 5th 2010 10:45PM Kind of a lore question.....I understand that Resurrection type spells are part of game mechanics, but as far as lore goes, is there such a thing as resurrection, and if so would your standard run of the mill (ie: low level) Priest, Pally, etc, have this capability? Thanks.
Feb 2nd 2010 6:21PM LOL, you guys are funny. Already screaming bloody murder when NOTHING is known about this. I swear most of the people that play WoW are more obsessed with nerd raging than actually playing the game.
Oct 14th 2009 11:36AM If you have time to get 2 toons to 80 then you at least have some time for some Reg. and Heroic instances. It sounds like you may be a little apprehensive about it, and I was as well. I never did anything in a formal instance or raid until I hit 70 (back when that was level cap). I finally decided 'what the heck' and gave it a shot, and it was a great decision.
If you are worried about your gearing and/or performance then that isn't an issue. You are level 80, so start off in something like Regular nexus. Once you get a feel for how a group works, and maybe pick up some new dungeon blues, you'll be ready for some heroics to get more badges/gear/etc. Not to mention, now that the content has been out this long, a lot of it is so easy for veteran players that taking a new 80, even in greens, along for the ride isn't going to hurt a thing. OS25 can be done with a pretty small group of people, and it's common to see open spots in there, so why can't you be one of them? Also, gear from there and the other original Rath raids isn't as good as what most people now are sporting, so the odd's of you getting gear is pretty great.
I remember the night my wife hit 80, we got her like 4 or 5 epics in a very short amount of time. It was a great experience for her to jump right into things.
For me, I started mostly in PUG's and things, but even if you have to do that it will pay off. You will group with all kinds of people, some will be jerks, but you'll find others that keep inviting you back.
Anyway, sorry for the wall of text, but you can still really enjoy Raid encounters and fun group experiences even if you are really pressed for time. VoA and OS and Ony are super quick raids, and heroics and other instances are as well.
Apr 3rd 2009 11:22AM What the heck sort of mining pick is being used in that Screenshot?
Or am I just not looking at it right?
Feb 23rd 2009 3:29PM Thanks. I was on a mission to get to 80 back when Wotlk first came out and unfortunately missed a lot of the details. I had later read up in Wowwiki, but couldn't really find any details as to why we were there.
Another question...I didn't play any of the previous Warcraft games, or read any books, so sometimes the lore is a little bit confusing to me.
During the culling, it's obvious that many people did not agree with Arthas. Also, it is described as one of his earlier "acts of madness". At this time, had he been introduced to anything related to the Lich King, or was this "madness" purely in him?
The reason that I ask is that even though a lot of people disagree with what he did, based on his dialog during these events his intentions do seem to be "for the greater good". Personally I'd say he was put in a situation that was lose, lose, and as he says, he had to sacrifice the lives of a few to spare the lives of many.
So anyway, my question is; was this truely "an act of madness"?
Feb 23rd 2009 3:01PM This is probably a stupid question, but since we are on the subject of CoT.....What is our purpose for going into the Culling of Stratholme?
Jan 20th 2009 10:11AM Dual specs doesn't really make anything possible that wasn't possible before. You could ALWAYS respec....this just makes it easier. We still don't know the details of it (cooldowns, cost, etc.) as far as I know. I don't think it will be as huge of an impact as you are saying.
Jan 19th 2009 10:51AM Thank you very much for this info....I was just looking at some rings and trinkets yesterday!
