Breakfast Topic: Which city will you champion? {WoW}

Feb 25th 2009 9:29AM It seems like it might be PvP AND Vehicle based actually... there are new "mounts" for each city and vehicle combat is involved. My personal feeling is that it sounds sort of like having a Rennisance festival through the entire world. Joust anyone?

No more ghetto-hearthing in patch 3.1 {WoW}

Feb 24th 2009 4:42PM Well we have no idea if the BG way of hearthing is completely eliminated as well. Now that we can queue from anywhere we still don't know where you end up when you /afk out.

10 bucks says Blizz makes it somewhere really inconvienient... like where you already were. gosh blizz /sarcasim

Forum post of the day: Great idea, poor implementation {WoW}

Feb 13th 2009 1:44PM I think the biggest point here is that just Getting the dual spec set up is optional. It also has some cost associated with it. Meaning, the dual spec system could be set up for people who already have high end (55+) characters that could send a few gold to an alt they are leveling. I for one am currently leveling a Rogue and Paladin on a new server. The only source of money I have is by rolling a Death knight, and with the way the new experience system is I have rerolled him 4 times now just to buy skills. I don't have enough money from quests to pay for it.

Being able to pay for a dual spec for either of my characters would be hard, but worth it, say if i decided i wanted to pvp on my rogue for a while (very likely) I could flip my spec and have one specifically dedicated to that rather than have to utilize a spec built for solo play and enjoy my time less. In my opinion Blizzard should do what helps players enjoy themselves without overcomplicating things. If they already plan no making a gold requirement on the dual specs, make it out of reach of characters that are low levels to prevent complications. If the person is high enough to make that much money to buy it, they are plenty high enough to handle the complications involved with dealing with two specs.

And if you honestly think that people who are leveling don't need dual specs, try healing on a midlevel feral druid, people kick you out of groups and don't let you see content specifically because you aren't healing well enough. it is harder for a character at that level to shill out the 15g minimum to respec to resto then back to feral or their leveling spec then it would be for them to spend a 20g one time fee for two specs. Just an example.

Loken the most dangerous mob in the game {WoW}

Dec 5th 2008 9:17AM Last Night my friends and I downed Loken with a three man team. two of us had never done him before and so I, a resto druid, was standing about 20 yards or so away from him... if you have ever done Loken before you know thats a really bad idea. I was taking ~2400 damage per five seconds for the entire fight, while i healed the other two (warrior tank, death knight dps) through all his explostions and everything. Just wanted to let you know we finished him off in mostly blues on a three man... most dangerous mob... i scoff at you.
