One gear set for PvE and PvP in Mists of Pandaria? {WoW}

Mar 7th 2012 5:42PM If we had One set of gear and say, used the points from either dungeons or battlegrounds to purchase appropriate 'bonuses or enchants' and ran it like the duel specialization - could that work. You click over to the other Stat tree when going from PvP to PvE and so forth. You can either take points and buys some new nifty gear items or pick them up as dungeon drops but the rest is done by spending points to "Duel Spec the Gear" so that a button click takes you from one to the other with minimal hassle and less bag usage.

Battleground glyphs and gems in one spec set and the PvE/Dungeon specific ones in another -. Earn your points or celebrate your drops, but keep the change from the knickers out down to a minimum so that you don't have to carry up to 4 sets of gear (dps/heals = 2 just to do one or the other. If you want to do both 1 PvP set for each = 2, 1 PvE set for each =2) this stuff adds up quick.

Is PvP gear good enough for heroics? {WoW}

Mar 5th 2012 7:47PM What I like - playing the game - both styles, PvE and PvP.
What I Hate - having to carry SSDD double gear sets.

No love for the all around gamer? Why?

Drama Mamas: The case of the PvE wife and PvP husband {WoW}

Feb 27th 2012 4:04PM Maybe seeing if someone from the guild would be willing to buddy up with the shy hubby - that way the person is not a completely unknown quantity and the guildie gets to get their PVP on.

Just a thought.

Ol' Grumpy and the crushing disappointment of roles {WoW}

Feb 16th 2012 2:48PM I would love to have the option to duel wield pistols on my hunter and tank it up with one of my heavy pets.

It already makes me angry when people yell at me for doing any melee at all (I've been in the game long enough that I have the Arms Master achievement and Knuckle Sandwich). I've always been a firm believer that if the Mob gets past the pet and within melee range I'm still gonna try and kill the bugger. I've been known to finish off plate wearers in BG with fist weapons because I know where my melee strike keys are and I keep them handy.

Give me a whip and pistols and I'll do an Indian Jones on you - that simple. I came to fight and survive - which means killing the other guy first - one way or another. The current, fairly rigid class system can be a pain. We can get the bosses to less than 5% health and loose the 'tank' and have to sacrifice ourselves to 'wipe it up' instead of being able to shift roles slightly and take over to finish the job.

Are you going to tell me that, if a unit of military personnel were deployed to a hot zone, and the unit commander went down that the rest would just sit there and wait for the enemy to 'wipe it up'. Not so much. That's the 'mindset' I prefer for fights -

I have an alt who is a tank (pally) as well as my hunter - but I'd like to think that either one could stand and fight and do what was necessary to defeat the baddies.

How to assemble a character history for your roleplaying character {WoW}

Feb 5th 2012 9:00AM As an old school, paper and dice, gamer I love playing my toon In Character as I would if it were around the dinner table. Yes, I've created some back history for them and using MRP I post some information on them. I've even collaborated with other gamers on fanfic-let write ups of character interactions - much safer than attempting certain themes in game ;)

What I've not really been able to get used to is the 'RP dates' some players and guilds set up - where everyone gets together specifically to just RP. I'm pretty much always IC if I'm chatting in general with other toons - even type my troll's responses in a version of dialect. Some trade chat is OOC, raid mechanics as well - but otherwise I'm always IC so the concept of making a special event to RP is a bit odd to me.

Either way I hope RP doesn't ever really leave the game - its a big part of the fun for me.

The Queue: A sudden increase in prudishness {WoW}

Feb 3rd 2012 12:44PM They have rickshaw type carts sitting in several places - Darnassas, Razor Hill, etc - it would be nice if they were, indeed, usable. Maybe with Pandaria - who knows?

"Guide dog" player and guild embrace sightless guildmate, steer team to victory {WoW}

Jan 13th 2012 1:23PM the addon Fonter can help a bit with the chat box issue. You can use it to enlarge the type face and change the font style to make it easier to read. It helps me a lot.

Jan 13th 2012 1:14PM Ya know, that old orc that lost his eyes in the tower at Southern Barrens aught to be 'told this story' and one of the other freed orcs aught to learn it too. If Ben and Owen can do it so can they... just sayin'. Of all the stories I know that have been turned into memorable NPCs this one deserves a place too.

Blue Posts and Other WoW News: Still ongoing discussions on extra character slots {WoW}

Jan 12th 2012 9:57AM I'm hoping eventually that there will be a one or two character slot expansion per server and that also we can eventually have more than one DK per server. I play both sides of the faction line now. There is an 85 on each side, on the same server. I'd like to be able to keep a balance on my toons - one DK means picking one and 'making do' with the other side. Not my favorite way to do things.

Breakfast Topic: Are you a WoW cross-dresser? {WoW}

Jan 7th 2012 12:59PM I'm female and have had and still have toons in both genders though my mains are female. The ally pally started life as a belf pally boy and got a Big Change on the transfer. Didn't like the male options much on the ally side for the transfer so he became a she.

I love roll play and I'm a writer so I make characters to fit the stories in my head rather than being concerned with my gender vs theirs.
