Jan 31st 2011 11:33AM My first death was also as a fire mage. But I made it to level 83 where my gear was just starting to get replaced. I died when I was respawned on constantly for 5 minutes. If I were playing smart that day I would have just hit invisibility and got out of there. As it was, it was the first death of two on the way to 85. (Second was because AoE abilities were not affecting certain mobs in Uldum...that ticked me off.)
Jan 27th 2011 12:37PM Personally I'd agree with Hyjal and just because I tried to slow fall my mage from the top of Nordrassil to Orgrimmar. (Almost made it too but the invisible ceilings suck) The fall took a few minutes.
Jan 11th 2011 11:29AM Given how I'm a mount collector, I'll throw my hat in there for this one. Thanks for the opportunity!
Jan 6th 2011 2:40PM Is it me, or did every alliance race just get a buff?
Jan 3rd 2011 5:21PM It was nice getting to see the six + dailies that were on that half of the island. Even if they pushed the limits of my abilities with their crazy fast respawn rates. Oh well, here's hoping that they actually fix the real problem instead of fixing problems caused by "temporary solutions" somewhat soon.
Oct 21st 2010 12:43PM For me, it would have to be when my guild had finally reached Kel'Thuzad at the end of Naxx well before Ulduar. The fight was going well but I think one of the healers missed a heal on the off tank late in the fight when the adds that show up were hitting him pretty hard. (The healer was probably frozen) Needless to say they hit him hard enough to take him out of the fight. I was on the verge of losing hope when our main tank picked up both adds (before they could kill anyone else) and Kel'Thuzad and we were able to just barely kill him for our first clear of Naxx. Looking back it was pretty epic at the time, but now it wouldn't be too hard to accomplish. There are many other moments of course, but that is the one that truly sticks.
Sep 30th 2010 1:11PM Impressive. I'd find it hard to believe this to not be what it appears. Well done Blizz.
Sep 23rd 2010 1:10PM I've hated scorpions ever since I was very young and had to watch my dad kill them all around the house. Because my younger sisters were both at risk of getting seriously sick or even killed from a single sting it made every day a nightmare.
I'm horde through and through. I have my 100 + mounts already. I haven't passed on a chance to get one yet. (Though I seem to have bad luck with the random drop ones...)
But this will be the first mount I avoid. *shakes head*
(I also go out of my way whenever I see a scorpion in game, critter or otherwise, and make sure it dies a painful death...usually by pyroblast.)
Aug 8th 2010 2:18PM I'd have to say the first class any new player should play will probably be much different player to player. For instance I could have easily played a paladin first and probably would have used that for a long time. Much more hardy than my favorite class, the mage.
I will say that I was lucky that I started as a mage as it is the one class that has always seemed to fit my play style most. Because of how squishy mages are, and the fact they have very limited healing (in combat), I learned very quickly how to limit damage taken during these fights, a skill I took with me when I tried other classes.
I think I'm a much better player for it.
For most people I know though, there always seems to be one particular class that fits them and they will love it as long as they are willing to learn it first.
May 29th 2010 3:15PM Dear Spellsteal,
How often you've saved my squishy person from utter destruction and misery.
How often you've torn buffs from enemies and gently gifted them to me.
How often I've spammed you in pvp.
How often you've caused me to laugh with pure glee.
I simply love thee!
If only the rest of the people that play this game realized your unbridled awesomeness.
