DKP pitfalls and how to jump them {WoW}

Jan 22nd 2009 6:01PM My guild uses a system called EPGP. It has a 10% decay built in that can be alotted to EVERYONE in the guild on specific raid nights. Furthermore, it's easy to use and gives a point value to every item in the game - and a person can never go below 0. The last important thing that we did is give everyone a 200 Gear Point "floor" when entering the guild - this meant that nobody could just walk in on their first night of raiding with the guild and start picking up gear over the veterans that had been there to raid time-and-again.

FCC Comissioner: World of Warcraft causes college dropouts {WoW}

Dec 11th 2008 3:59PM It's funny because, I'm a 3.96 cumulative GPA College Senior, and I have played WoW since its inception in 2004. I play approximately 10 to 15 hours a week while at college, and I can STILL get magna cum laude.

I hardly think WoW is a cause for college dropouts. You know what IS a cause for college dropouts? Poor time management skills.

Breakfast Topic: What is your favorite part of Wrath? {WoW}

Nov 18th 2008 9:14AM Right now, I'm not entirely thrilled with wrath just yet. Granted, I'm only level 74 but to be honest, I want to start seeing some gear replacements already.

I'm rolling in mostly T4 supplemented with some badge gear, and BT/Hyjal epics. I was sad the other day when I replaced my T6 shoulders with some blue shoulders from the Ahn'kahet quest - I was even sadder when I saw the model on my blood-elf rogue. They literally look NON-EXISTENT! It's as if I'm not wearing any shoulder armor at all. Talk about sad panda Q_Q.

Moreover, I feel like the game has become more of a grind at this point. I'm trying to push along to level 80 and I'm already starting to hear the gears grind. I'm a college student, and unlike some kids who play 15 hours and then pass out, I have classes, a life, a job, and even a girlfriend! (She's Bind on Pickup, so back off buddy!)

I want to start enjoying all the fun that the game has to offer already, and that fun really doesn't begin until level 80 raiding & PvP for me.

Any suggestions as to how to make this grind more amusing?

Breakfast Topic: What Northrend zone did you begin in and why? {WoW}

Nov 14th 2008 10:58AM I chose Howling Fjord, but largely because my roommate was in the beta and expressed his dislike for Borean Tundra. In all likelihood, when I clear the Fjord though i'll head over to Borean Tundra to clear it and get ahead of the leveling bell curve.
