All the World's a Stage: So you want to be an Alliance Warrior {WoW}

Nov 9th 2008 6:10PM He said, "nearly" not all of them. Ragefire

Anyways, Nice Article, the humans seems to have a huge lore of warriors(may be retconned), and I must say, I proud that I'm a warrior even though beyond the lore, Daelin is a hybrid of classes.

Countdown to Wrath Giveaway: Day 7 - BlizzCon Polar Bear Mounts {WoW}

Ask a Beta Tester: Lordaeron, epic quests, and other things {WoW}

Nov 2nd 2008 12:52PM Regarding the second question/answer:

There will be Lordaeron forces in Northrend, just remember in the Frozen Throne, when the traitor, Arthas send a huge expedition to Northrend. Some settlements might be destroyed, aftermath there are still plently of the Expedition(which contains High Elves from Quel'Thalas, Dwarves/Gnomes from Dun Morough/Muradin's Expedition and such). Maybe there is/or isn't a rep for them, maybe they reside with Valiguard Expedition, Valgarde and settlements from Dragonblight. They might mention Lordaeron and Arthas Expedition in quests and some crucial points towards the lore(retconned i know).

I don't recall, Stormwind 2.0(or w/e) being recent, after the death of beloved Lothar, Terenas issued to rebuilt Stormwind, it was created during the second war(warcraft 2:beyond the dark portal) as I recall, one of the orc mission is to destroy new Stormwind(maybe that was Stormwind 1.5 or retconned to you, i guess). Which most bankrupted their economy, prior to the Third War, the seven kingdoms bickered upon the king(which led to the separation, with Stromgarde, Quel'Thalas, Gilneas and others gone) This might be a reason why the scourge and the Burning Legion destroy Lordaeron fatally, the splinter of the Alliance(with only Dalaran, Kul'Tiras, Stormwind, Dwarves/Gnomes and Lordaeron itself)

You mean the Cult of the Damned, not the Scourge. Which the Cotd, started to plague the land, prior-start of the Third War, when Kel'Thazad(a wizard from Dalaran) hed the voice of the Lich King and consumble him into darkness. The infection(like the Zombie Infection but fatal) started to spread during the Third War, where Arthas, Uther and Jaina investigated these mysterious plague from their lands. Leading up to the destruction/purging of Stratholme. There is always battlecries for Lordaeron, the burning legion and the scourge totally destroyed the Alliance(see how much damaged Archimonde caused to Dalaran, wow?!)

So that might be big misconception there, Alex.

Note: I'm not mad, I'm just confused/curious, so don't assume that I'm pissed off because of this...

Ask a Lore Nerd: Cenarius, C'Thun, and the Titans {WoW}

Oct 6th 2008 12:17AM Just so you know, I'm not those sterotypical WoW players(you know, those whom still live at their parent's house and like obese), yes I have a life but most of the time, I read and sometimes things like this, is somewhat disappointing to me, that I just can't forgive it and somewhat inaccurate to the whole lore thingy.

I stated that I take lore very seriously, but I hate that people don't realize that they are creating really disappointing to bad, fan-fiction that it just gets on my nerves. And what I stated in my previous comments, these AREN'T made up or fan-fiction. Almost all the things, I stated were recited from Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and some novels.

Yes! Retconned may be the word to describe, Warcraft lore.

Ask a Lore Nerd: Cenarius, C'Thun, and the Titans {WoW}

Sep 29th 2008 4:08PM Thank you very much for those comments, guys.

If you put Night Elves and Hellscream to negociate, it won't happen, even though either of them asked to stop, be at peace. If the Night Elves asked them to stop, there will be arguments about no enough sufficient lumber to create stuff, economic to manufacturing issues in Durotar. That will soon cause a war, maybe even worse or lesser. Heck even now, in this era (World of Warcraft), Thrall don't withdraw his forces back to Barrens, A) because they haven't got enough lumber and without jurdicistion chop down their sacred trees and B), Those orcs were probably still Warsong. Alex said that the orcs understand that, Cenarius is an act of nature, his purpose is to protect any threat that approached their lands and ruin their enviroments. But yet still Thrall doesn't withdraw his forces from southern Ashevale but still chop more of their trees. Heck, when the Horde invited the Forsaken to their possy, the Forsaken has been making some type of "plague".

True, the Night Elves never seen the old horde, but only Broxigar and some other orc that was assign to investigate, not knowing that they traveled through time to the War of the Ancients. Cenarius in RoC said that "he fought them in the old ages", I linked to that video before, but I guess you people think I'm a friggen, Ulf. Oh well, I guess this is the conquence for taking part of the comment section.

No you could not ban me,(if you do, then go ahead, i don't give a crap about it) and I lol'd at your comments. Thanks for making me laugh!

Spoilers: Wrath of the Lich King's peek into Druid lore {WoW}

Sep 29th 2008 1:13AM wow! You could visit the Emerald Dream. this is getting kinda more epic, including the fact that Blizzard, implement better cutscenes in this expansion. And the previous one is just effing epic to kinda similar to Lord of the Rings like style!

I was kinda disappointed to not see Malfurion or anyone. But I just want to see that realm, Thanks!

Sep 29th 2008 12:08AM Did anyone one of you, read my comment? I was saying it was Grom Hellscream's clan who invaded the NE's lands. Yes I know that Brox and some other orc traveled back through time(somehow), and the NE's and the Azshara's NE(forgotten) discovered them, in the War of the Ancients. Back then, those orcs were imprisoned by Azshara's NEs(yep still forgotten), but Hellscream doesn't negociate with anyone even, those two videos you just saw. And what did Hellscream did later, when they angered the demigod? He founded a demon source, and they all drank it, thinking that its the only thing to defeat Cenarius. You see, Hellscream was blind over his incompetence, through old hatreds, siding with the Burning Legion. Not knowing that, that was a trap for the commencement of the Burning Legion's invasion.

Cenarius may only "known" Brox but only him because his partner died somehow. I was refering to the previous chapter you just linked, I was generally speaking Hellscream's clan not Thrall's new leadership. Shamanism wasn't on Hellscream's blood, his clan that led into Ashevale didn't include any shamantic things.

That was a insult? I directly insulted Farnell and people who don't get their facts straight, decrying over the Horde being better and the Alliance having QQs and drama queens. You may say that I'm QQ too, but i just have say it somehow?

Yes, I may be rude, but just knowing that people who didn't play the previous games, or people who tried to think they know everything about lore (not talking about alex about the wow community, and saying gtfo, isn't going to prove anything).

Regarding about Un'Goro Crater, I said that it was from WoWwiki, and i may have some misconception about where it was because I don't know it. I spend time reading alot of WoW books and forgetting some, some that might have been a liability.

And about Metzen, I don't think arguing over him is such a good idea because, A) He tends to leave out incomplete lore, B) it doesn't seem that the lore was developing or just making the lore, much lesser than D&D or any medival history, but now you got the FUCKING "America Chooper" to mount on in the expansion.(Heres some trivia: Metzen may implemented this for his love of dirt racing), and C) towards, now(or the release of BC) the lore isn't what I expect from Warcraft I-now, well it seemed to be really cool in the community, its a direction that is not appealing to me or someone else(again, gtfo doesn't qualify us contructive critisim, and I have been in this lore for a long time, I can't just abandoned it. Like I did before and regret it).

Again, I may be blinded with madness but this is getting out of hand, and don't get me started with the Death of Sir Lothar. About that motorcycle thing, wow! Like I know, Blizzard tends to implement some Easter Eggs, but at least the pandarian race was quite good.

Now, I'm hoping for the... FOUR WHEELS OF FURY to mount up. Since the motorcycles doesn't seemed to have a lore behind it.

Ask a Lore Nerd: Cenarius, C'Thun, and the Titans {WoW}

Sep 28th 2008 9:30PM I think both Alex and especially Farrell, may has some misconception regarding Cenarius. Have you played Reign of Chaos or any of the War of the Ancients books?

I will give you a example: Just what if, someone enter your house or country without jurdicistion and trash your house. Would you kill him, call the cops? You guys are saying that the Horde was more "diplomative" about this whole situation. You know would know that Grom Hellscream is kinda off an asshole or an arrogant one. When the Humans arrived at Kalimondor, Thrall entrusted Hellscream to leave the humans alone. Saying "Do you feel it, Thrall? it's like the old days... like the demons are here. (Hellscream was alive during the First-Second War) Thrall then didn't trust him, instead he told him to travel to the north to do "manual labor" because the Barrens don't have much lumber to cut. While Thrall goes to Stonetalon Peak to visit the "Oracle", see Thrall wasn't there to see the Night Elves before, Hellscream.

The Night Elves then told Cenarius, that the Orcs were invading. Hint that Cenarius, never knew that this "new" Horde, he was referencing the old days, where the orcs were corrupted by demon blood and a part of the Burning Legion. The Night Elves fought back, centuries ago with Rhonin. Cenarius wasn't a dumbass. Just think for a second! Would you want an army under no juridistion to approached your lands and cut your trees for Lumber? Especially the Night Elves, every tree in Ashevale(thats where Grom went), is a living thing, and cutting them is like killing them. Its kinda similar to the LOTR: The Two Towers, when the orcs cut down the ents, for more lumber.

Like do you guys EVEN know anything about lore? Noone EVER knew that Thrall formed a new Horde that will practice Shamanism. Hellscream was a friend of Thrall but is arrogant like Daelin Proudmoore, he thinks that the Horde is still like the past and Daelin NEVER knew about this new leadership! Only Jaina knew when she visited the "Oracle".

So whose the Dumbass NOW!

If you don't believe me then: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T__kvF-2Ubc&watch_response

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5W8LtBKIjmU

Seriously stop contradicting. It feels like all of you didn't play Reign of Chaos or the novels. Saying that you're a Lore Master, is just ridculous. Horde hasn't have a perfect history and the Alliance too. But just know that no much people knew about Thrall's leadership.

Second: Aman' Thul, the god whom watches these lands, especially Un' Goro is the reason why those AQ mobs were unable to approached these lands. You see, Crater is like the "god lands", or if that is, in WoWwiki point of view. Much like some crater in the Real world around Asia or Europe (idk), expect that that crater doesn't have Devilsaurs. There is no technological related things in Un' goro, thats why, this crater inhabited devilsaurs and stuff from the pre-historic times.

Some are wrong and some are right. To be Honest, I take Lore very seriously, and if there is something stupid rumors stating that the Horde is perfect. That will affect amounts of bias, if you played the games and NOT contradict yourself because in this MMO. The Horde can "pwn" the Alliance anytime in Arena or PVP, and thats an excuse for saying the Horde is the BEST?

Just Bullshit!
