Jul 13th 2010 3:35AM While I enjoy the childish faction banter, I think that you folks need to play both factions including every race to get a real understanding the game, your class, and faction differences. How can you speak troll if you have never done da voodoo shuffle or feel the teehee demoralization of your foes if you have never worn pink pigtails. Cataclysm will change everything so the time is now to check out these rich and detailed races.
@ Halgrimur - are you Horde Tough? You haven't lived until you have chopped down an Orc in a blurr of pink pigtails. Gnomeregan beckons you - come check us out - WE ARE COOL.
Jul 11th 2010 9:59AM Actually I think that Bliz did a lot to improve engineering for PvE raiding and some classes have the profession in their top 3 professions. For example the LK downing because of poor raid design that didn't account for saronite bombs - which has been used in an engineer's normal rotation since bomb schematics were made available. I think the main detractor from engineering has been it's gold making potential.
I would never throw away a profession because the time and cost are greater than rolling and leveling another toon to 65 to fill in the gaps, but I can see how this could be a problem for min / maxing on your main, but this could be very costly when a new "best" profession comes out.
Jul 8th 2010 4:02AM I have to disagree with both of you and while I think you have good points the streamline of talents is probably a good thing for a couple of reasons. First would be a newness factor to the game that has existed for 4 years and that is very important for the life of this game. Second is that they will still have to put PvP and PvE centered talents which may mean talents that affect multiple spells / abilities.
Jul 7th 2010 5:31AM I still believe that this is an intended nerf to healing druids in the arena due to their amazing survivability making them difficult opponents to quickly remove. The addition of a snare, loss of it's armor coupled with a cooldown effectively remove healing druids from arena competition.
Other than the snare, I can't see how they will be affected one way or the other in PvE.
Jul 6th 2010 11:12AM Bad players make excuses for bad play - Oh, it's my gear! Oh, I have a life!, Oh, I'm unlucky! Oh, "Insert Class" are OP!
If you have goals then it is time for an upgrade to a real guild and stop confusing online acquaintances with friends like 99% of these emo wankers.

You are as many people are in a guild of bads that are holding you back. Get in a top progression guild on your server and you will see that you are putting out average dps or maybe in some cases above or below average. You won't believe how many new recruits in these guild say the same damn thing. In my last guild I was top dps, now I can't break in the top 10. Get with a group that has the same high standards as yourself. The summer is coming and many top guilds will have a hard time filling spots so actually the opportunity is now, don't wait till Cataclysm. Trust me, you are not great, your guild is bad - take a look at some of the top dps for your server in world of logs for a comparrison.
"The problem is all inside your head", she said to me
The answer is easy if you take it logically
I'd like to help you in your struggle to be free
There must be fifty ways to leave your lover
She said it's really not my habit to intrude
Furthermore, I hope my meaning won't be lost or misconstrued
But I'll repeat myself, at the risk of being crude
There must be fifty ways to leave your lover
Fifty ways to leave your lover
You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free
Jul 6th 2010 5:54AM Guilds that have been in since the game started already have a huge influence on the economy. Members actively provide materials and resources for points depending on your loot system for raids. This will only make the powerful more so and the poor poorer. Johnny Donor has nothing coming because he was already paid system points and when / if the guild breaks the officers, friends of the master, and master will split the bank. They may throw a bone to members in open tabs or send out a small gold stipend, but the bulk of the guild resources will not be given to the regulars.
Jul 6th 2010 5:41AM The only benefit to members is limited because there is a greed factor in the equation. How many guild have you seen really open up the bank to regular members? With the current vulnerabilities to account stealing can guilds really afford to open the bank? Can raiding guild really afford to open repairs too all members? When a guild disbands who normally ends up with the gold - is it really split between all members?
This option will be great for new guilds that are cash strapped for bank space, but established guilds already have all slots, have an active banker that manages auctioning and guild resources, receives consumable donations weekly from members for standings, and is self sufficient. I do not expect anything in return for my donations to the guild and to have any other expectation is unrealistic.
Sure some guilds have this perk or those perks, but don't expect the established guilds to open the vault to all members.
Jun 29th 2010 7:01AM Really? Brd is on of the most epic 5 player instances ever created by Blizzard. I absolutely love old world instances. Have you taken the time to read up on the instance? Check out a walk thru of the detail and layout of this grand instance? This isn't a 20 minute blow through that the lackeys of today have learned and if you know what you are doing you can down the King in little over an hour.
This instance and Sunken Temple, Maraudon, Gnomeregan, Wailing Caverns, Dire Maul are all a cut above that your average Tom, Dick or Harry players that will never make the cut and is exactly why the 5K Dps scrubs with a 25% buff should never have been allowed to enter ICC.
Elitist no, but I am sick and tired of the Mario Kart brothers ruining this game because they can measure up to the challenge.
Jun 29th 2010 5:30AM The FACT remains that Death Knights are undead and have no place in the Alliance. The Death Knight class has done more to destroy the Alliance faction than any other single event that developers have totally botched since the inception of this game. Undead should have never been allowed to be a part of the Alliance. Wrath has been a huge and fatal mistake by game developement that has led to the destruction of Azeroth as we know it - the real cataclysm began with Death Knights.
