Blizzard improves the WoW community site (again) {WoW}

May 7th 2011 8:21PM I hope they add back that thing in the armory where you got to pose your characters again.

Mar 6th 2011 4:28PM It is also horrible that to see the second half of the worgen story, you have to play as the undead.

Breakfast Topic: Are you happy with the new races? {WoW}

Mar 6th 2011 4:20PM I was really really looking forward to playing as a female worgen, especially after seeing the great job they did with the males. Then when they were finally playable in the beta, and they had one face with different markings, I thought they still weren't finished yet and that more faces would be added later and they'd get to look as good as the males. As it got closer to the release date and they were still the same in the beta I was a little worried, but thought maybe they were just leaving the other face options and finished model for the release. And then the expansion came out. It was the same with the horrible lack of real options. I was so disappointed. I hate female worgen now. I don't even want them to be in the game anymore. They are so ugly and unfinished looking with so few options it is just horrible. The models have so many weird buggy animations that make the model look even more grotesque. Like how the neck disappears when fishing and how when running wild the leg looks like it collapses onto itself and it feels like you should be hearing a big crunch and have your character crippled and not be able to move anymore. And why do the females have to look like gross unnatural toy dogs with too much makeup and dull colored bug eyes that stare in 2 different directions? Their eyes would be so much better off glowing like the males too.

Even the males are a little disappointing. They need more options too. But overall they look great.

Running wild is a horrible excuse for rushing and not giving them a mount. The demon pig would have been fun. Would have given a point to being exalted with Gilneas too.

I loved the atmosphere in the starting zone and then getting thrown to Darkshore was disappointing too. Especially since goblins get Aszhara. Reading Curse of the Worgen and seeing Gilneas in more detail has made me even more sad that they don't get their own zone after they lose Gilneas too. All they have is a tree in Darnassus and barely any places to themselves. It is sad how they have mostly disappeared after their starting zone. They need more of a presence in the world. Which is also even more disappointing seeing as how much the goblins got too.

For the goblins, I thought they were ugly and creepy, but the customization is wonderful. I had fun making one. There were so many options to play with. They just turned out perfect for what they are. And they bring so much to the horde, they are everywhere. Their starting zone was fun, but did feel a bit too long. It really seems like they worked on the goblins a lot and the worgen were done last and they were rushed and no one really cared as much.

And the female worgen warlock I was going to make is now going to be a gnome.

Breakfast Topic: Has Cataclysm let you down? {WoW}

Jan 11th 2011 12:42PM I wonder what happened to the first comment i wrote...I hope I am not posting this twice.

What's even worse is that there is pretty much only 1 face. They all look mostly the same except for tiny changes.

I wish they just kept the alpha model and changed it to look vicious like the male worgen.

Jan 11th 2011 12:39PM What's even worse about them is that they all look the same. There are tiny things that change, but it is barely noticeable in all 14 faces.

It would have been nice if they just used the alpha model and made it as vicious looking as the male.

Sexual dimorphism in Cataclysm {WoW}

Dec 13th 2010 8:56PM The body size in worgen doesn't bother me at all. Almost every single race in the game is like that in body and most things are like that in western video games and etc anyways. But the faces! Why does the female worgen have to look like a rabid chihuahua ( I feel bad for using chihuahuas as an example because they are cute and not disturbing in real life like how the female worgen are) and the male gets to look like a wolf??? And the snarl that is impossible and wrong, the bugged out eyes that don't glow with too much makeup. If they used the alpha model faces and just made them more vicious like what they did with male worgen, they would match more and actually look like the same species. All the other races at least get to look like the same species even if their body sizes are way off from the 2 genders. And then there is only one face. You don't even get the option to maybe be "pretty" or not like with female trolls or dwarfs. Maybe everyone would pick the one pretty face or maybe they wouldn't but atleast there would be options.
