Sep 22nd 2009 3:50PM Don't worry. I'm Chinese and I laughed. I understand people are prudent to be tactful, but oversensitivity to racism is pointless. We should be able to laugh at our differences.
Jul 16th 2009 3:26PM Eregos' attacks can reach Loken but Loken's cannot reach Eregos.
Ergo, Eregos wins.
Jun 18th 2009 3:14PM Why not? I think this is a great idea. Then twinks are free to do their twink stuff (running dungeons for blues etc.) without worrying about leveling. And the non-twinkers won't ever run into the twinks. So it seems to make everyone happier. As for the gold sink part, well, we have to have gold sinks to avoid rampant inflation. And really, I don't think anyone will be using this switch that often. Once to switch to twink mode and once to turn it off when you finally decide to level the alt. And seriously, 10g is nothing.
Jun 4th 2009 2:25PM I love your articles, Nick. They just ooze of intelligence and high level wit. For some reason, I can hear you narrate the article in British accented documentary style. Heh. =)
Jun 3rd 2009 6:05PM lmgtfy.com - OMG! Pure win! I'm going to send that to every lazy guildy that asks me "What's the hit cap for ?"
Apr 16th 2009 3:07PM "In what seems to be an inevitable move, Blizzard has ordered the controversial and too-good-to-be-true services of You Play or We Pay."
What? Blizzard ordered the service? Smart guys. Now all they have to do is shutdown their servers and rake in the cash. =)
Feb 27th 2009 1:43PM I think she's using the word "literally" figuratively here.
Jan 7th 2009 7:36PM Can anybody tell me how you can kite with this thing? That is, how can you run, jump, 180 in the air, shoot/cast, 180 back and keep running?
If jump and movement are both controlled by the thumb, you would always have to stop movement before jumping and end up jumping on the spot.
Thank you very much in advance.
Oct 6th 2008 9:14PM You are right, D.O.T., it isn't fair. It's also not fair for a group of 5 different players to gank you, or somebody who is higher level or is geared better than you and Blizzard has a solution for this already - it's a PvE server.
But while we're at it, there are more things that aren't fair...
It's not fair that we get running water, electricity and an abundance of food while so many do not. Did we really do anything to deserve it?
It's not fair that we get to sit around and play games like WoW while others are just worried about their next meal.
Look, life isn't fair (http://thinkoutsidetheblog.info/well-life-isnt-fair/) and we already have by far the bigger end of the stick. We play WoW for fun and let's appreciate it for what it is. If it ceases to be fun, then there really is no point and we should stop playing.
Oct 6th 2008 3:20PM I have a 70 mage too and I also keyboard turned/clicked for about 2 weeks before I couldn't stand it anymore and switched to binding. Here's my setup and hopefully this information will be helpful to you.
First off, I use ESDF as my directional keys instead of WASD (make sure S and F are bound to STRAFE, not TURN!). This gives me an extra 3 keys to press (QAZ). G, V and C are the most comfortable to reach, so I bind the most used skills here, namely, Nuke, Ice lance and Fireblast. W, 3 and A are also comfortable to reach, so they are bound to Frost Nova, Ice Barrier (or Mana Shield if you are not frost) and Polymorph respectively. 1 is my "uh oh" button for all my toons, so it's Ice Block on my mage. It's slightly further than my other bindings so that I don't hit it by accident. I also have Shift and Ctrl versions of all these bindings. It's still not quite enough bindings, so it helps if you have a mouse with lots of buttons. I bind things that need to be done quickly to my mouse buttons like PvP trinket and Escape Artist.
Hope this helps!
