A closer look at the School of Hard Knocks {WoW}

May 1st 2009 8:15PM AV: Do you have a mount speed buff? If yes, congrats. If no, sorry you lose.

AB: Do you have a mount speed buff? If yes, congrats, If no, just keep trying.

WSG: Are you on less than 100ms ping? If yes, work hard. If no, give up and go home. (I have done enough WSG to get 2 toons to exalted, and have never been able to click on a flag, it is always gone before it renders.)

EotS: Ignore the game, camp the flag, and then be prepared to have your teammates stand back and watch you die because they want to pick it up. Repeat.

Countdown to Wrath Giveaway: Day 7 - BlizzCon Polar Bear Mounts {WoW}

BEAR is for fiting!

Sewer fishing for fun and profit (mostly fun) {WoW}

Oct 9th 2008 5:59PM I just wish they would remove Master Angler of Stranglethorn from the Accomplished Angler achievement. I have spent over a year trying to do this on my server, which considering my time zone means getting up before the sun rises.

I have gone as far as getting a warlock and two friends ready to summon me when done, and all of the other tricks; I have not won yet. Basically this make the achievement impossible for people who casually fish.

Priest changes and glyphs in Wrath beta patch 9014 {WoW}

Oct 1st 2008 4:43PM I think the change to Imp:PWF moving it out of the reach of holy priests is very very stupid. Most 10-man raid groups wont have a Disc-priest, and to be honest, the same will probably be true about 25-man.

The thing to remember however, is this does not nerf the priest that much. It nerfs the whole raid. Fights where people need to lift their health means that everyone will need to go farm a stamina trinket and wear that instead of their nice dps/heal trinket. Of course there will be pressure for a Holy/Shadow priest to respec to get Imp:PWF for one fight, but as long as we refuse, the nerf is not to us as much as to everyone else.

Trolling through combat logs, the extra 290 health from Imp:PWF at L70 has saved our raid tanks about once every 2 weeks. We only raid 4 times a fortnight, so that is one extra wipe every 10 hours of raiding. And that is not taking into consideration other classes that might have died to cause us to lose important dps/healing. Slows down PvE progression, that is all this change does.
