Jul 17th 2009 11:13AM A new lava dredger to run around with for 80 levels?! Oh hell yes, sign me up. Still one of my favorite weapon models in the game. My NE Druid still has hers but, then again, she still has all her T1/T2 epics because I haven't played that toon since BC came out.
May 15th 2009 5:25PM I saw this weeks ago when the playoffs started on TNT. I mentioned it over vent during a guild raid and no one seemed to care. :P
Apr 16th 2009 1:28PM No, vanilla pudding isn't allowed. However, you can substitute cookies'n'cream ice cream BUT you must complete the fight before 50% of the ice cream has melted.
Apr 16th 2009 11:05AM Can we please stop referring to these kills as "firsts"? I'm sorry but tearing through a raid instance without any of the added challenges or tweaks to a boss fight isn't That Big of a Deal anymore. The game of raiding changed with LK and the "hard mode" achievements and yet so many people fail to acknowledge that.
Until a guild manages to kill General Vez/Yogg/Algalon/whomever while standing on their heads in a vat of chocolate jello all while reciting PI to 100 decimal places or doing whatever other crazy challenges Blizzard has added to the mix, I don't consider that a "first."
Mar 6th 2009 9:16PM Divine Guardian now increases the effectiveness of Divine Sacrifice by an additional 5/10% and increases the duration of Sacred Shield by 50/100% and the amount absorbed by 10/20%.
Taken from the updated PTR patch notes. This is why people shouldn't get overly worked up on data-mined items. They're not always 100% correct.
On another note, this new goodie for Ret was added in as well:
Sanctified Seals: Renamed Sanctity of Battle. Now also increases damage done by Exorcism and Crusader Strike by 5/10/15%.
Mar 6th 2009 9:09PM Shattering Throw isn't quite as great as this post makes it out to be. The PTR patch notes were just updated noting that, if a target is immune, ST will remove the immunity. Otherwise, it will deal damage and reduce the target's armor. It's not a both deal - it's one or the other.
Feb 23rd 2009 6:21PM I completed all the Loremaster achievements on my BE Paladin pre-nerf and after completing the Wrath Gate quest line. Sure, it took a lot of digging to get all the old world quests done without being able to hand a few into him but it wasn't impossible then and it isn't impossible now. It just takes some effort, as it rightly should.
Oct 2nd 2008 11:35AM Honestly, I think a lot of the Paladin talent discussions are taking place in a bubble. Everyone seems to be focusing on the talents and assuming everything will be the same at 80 as it is at 70. LK isn't going to be a huge gear reset like TBC was but it is going to be an itemization reset and the stat du jour for Paladins is going to be haste.
I didn't like JotP until I did some heroics last night in the beta. It works and wasn't nearly as awful as I expected it to be. When you consider so much of our level 80 gear will probably contain haste, it makes sense. Personally, I've stopped looking at IoL and LG in terms of casting time reduction and started viewing them as haste buffs because, really, that's what they are. If you stack all of them it should give you 70% haste to your HL cast time. (I need to log in to beta tonight to confirm this.) I still want to see IoL go to 0.75/1.5 second reduction but I'm pretty sure instant HLs are gone.
The biggest issue we face is definitely mana and hopefully this Divine Plea fix will alleviate that somewhat. They really need to look at giving Shamans and Paladins a scaling regen mechanic like Priests and Druids get with Spirit as MP5 is ridiculously antiquated. I'd love to see a talent that grants us 10 MP per every 100 armor we have. Doubt it will happen but I can dream. :)
