Aug 17th 2010 1:24PM I'm a girl! And this rogue could definitely use some new eyeshadow! Tricks of the trade, indeed!
Jul 7th 2010 12:59PM Probably just enough to slow down the replies on the Real ID thread on the forums. "We still have details to solidify" means "we rushed this announcement to distract everyone from the Real ID issue".
I'm intrigued by this change, but it does sound like they are moving away from the 'make meaningful choices' WITHIN a tree philosophy to 'make meaningful choices' BETWEEN trees.
I'm still not distracted from Real ID though.
Jan 15th 2010 4:44PM I agree with other posters regarding Alchemy and gem transmutes. I rarely make flasks to sell on the AH these days--most of mine end up going to guildmates for raids, and with the lotus costing more than the flasks, its just not that profitable. But I've found that its very easy to make money either selling my transmute cooldown or buying up the mats and making Cardinal Rubies (unlike with flasks, the mats are much cheaper on my server than the epic gems, providing a tidy profit each time). I ended up switching from elixir mastery to transmute mastery just for this purpose.
There are also a number of low-end pots for the twink community--Swiftness potion, Elixir of Giant Growth, and others--that can sell quite well and in volume. And for awhile i had a buddy working on Salty and he gave me all of his pygmy suckerfish, and the Guru's Elixirs I made from that also turned a nice profit.
Jan 3rd 2010 12:53PM yes please
Nov 22nd 2009 4:14PM It really depends on the raid. If its VoA or OS no drakes, I'm gone after one wipe (barring extraordinary circumstances). There's no excuse for wiping on that content. Anything else and Ill give it 2-3 wipes, though usually after 2 enough people start leaving the raid that its usually better to just find something else to do. Basically, the deeper we are into the content, the more willing I am to tolerate additional wipes.
In guild runs, though, I'll stick it out no matter how many wipes but perhaps that goes without saying.
Oct 14th 2009 9:19AM My rogue has been my main since I started playing just prior to BC. In Wrath, though, I leveled a druid as a healer, both to try something new, have synergy with a friend who was leveling a tank, and to provide extra heals in my guild so I could secure a raid spot.
I'm still nowhere near as competent a healer as I am melee dps, but at least I have more appreciation for the difficulties of healing! i'm still working on improving my heal skills, but I find myself drifting back to my rogue more and more...being melee can be super frustrating at times, but its nowhere near as stressful as healing. And wow has become less a way to challenge myself than a way to release stress, and there's nothing quite like mutilating some mobs to release stress!
Jul 14th 2009 9:21PM If you were going to build a dual spec for fok aoe damage in raids, what would you suggest for a talent build and glyphs?
Jul 1st 2009 9:37AM How much drama are we going to lose out on when the patch hits live and we are able to trade soulbound items with other members of the group/raid? I'm sure the true ninjas will live on, but I wonder how many people who in the past have claimed to have 'accidentally' needed an item will reform, now that this option will be gone.
May 19th 2009 8:35AM Without Wow, I don't know how I'd keep in touch with some rl friends. I moved away after college, but many of my friends are in my guild and we see each other regularly in Wow-world, even though I'm lucky if I see them once a year in the real world. Another good friend moved six hours away to start a job, but we chat most nights through the game.
I love Wow, but without the social side of the game and the ability to keep up with my rl friends, I don't think I would play nearly as much as I do.
