Feb 25th 2010 12:49PM Some would argue that being offended by racist remarks only validates racism and the racist that made the remark. Reacting to such comments or language will only give the racist more reason to continue what he/she is doing. Reporting the language is fine.
On the flipside, equality should start with equal treatment and not the coddling of one race just because their origins were from slavery. Take note that I am not singling out the African American population here as my race was also subject to similar atrocities in the past as well as the present. If you don't know what I'm talking about, feel free to look up Filipino domestic helpers and how they are treated in Hongkong and other countries because apparently racism still exists despite what the laws say.
Feb 25th 2010 12:35PM I would like to see cloaks akin to the ones worn by Maiev. That would be awesome, especially for rogues.
Oct 19th 2008 3:07AM "I do like it how Blizzard are giving ret a little run around for the lost viablity for the moment but this is at the expense of the enjoyability of other classes who wish to play at a far more level playing surface especially when they want to tinker with their own spells and gadgets before we say goodbye to BC and welcome WotLK."
When translated means
"We don't like it that you roflstomp us now, we want to be able to roflstomp you like we used to do pre patch because now you make our e-peens look small."
Oct 18th 2008 12:16PM Hop into the battlegrounds and grind honor/marks for ret s2 that ignorant people call "wellfare"

"70s who'd just "dinged" days before the patch, wearing blues and greens, were owning any non-pally out there... "
Which is the kind of exaggeration I mentioned in my post. Its ignorant and baseless.
I have a paladin, just dinged 70, got lots of greens and blues, maybe 2 epics. I find that I have to bust a nut to own anyone not in arena gear in the battlegrounds, pally or no. I may not be the best player in the world but I do know what my character can and cannot do.
I have to ask though, since other people have mentioned that other classes can do some pretty OP stuff like druids shapeshifting out of snares and lifebloom and so on...
Why the big fuss over ret pallies who used to be at the bottom of the food chain? Are you suddenly threatened by their rise?
It seems to me that a lot of people feel threatened and their knee-jerk reaction would be to qq for nerfs.
Ok, you got us nerfed. are you happy? I hope you one day decide to roll a paladin and regret that you qqed for so many nerfs. But then I know that deep down inside, for you ignorant lot, rets will always be retlols, or retnoobs and you'll always be saying "zomgLern2healznubz"
To the rest of the rets out there, don't bother arguing with idiots, they'll just take you down to their level and then beat the crap out of you with experience.
Allthough I must say that if they take away our burst and give us a bleed, maybe we can petition for a snare like a warror's hamstring or something. That'd actually work pretty well.
Oct 18th 2008 1:23AM I made a ret pally before the patch and I had to put up with "Oh I don't group with ret palles." Or "You are an idiot, learn to heal." and whatnot.
These same people now bitch, moan, and whine about ret paladin buffs and I see it as penis envy, really. Its about time paladins get some lovin' and these ignorant people tend to exaggerate their complaints.
Case in point: We were seeing a ret pally in full s4 gear destroy our team in the battlegrounds and people began to whine about pallies being op and all that crud but if you opened your eyes and took a look at the blues and greens they were wearing, you would have laughed at them the way I did.
I see that equally geared characters stand up pretty well to a paladin if they know what they're doing.
I, personally, on my S2 equipped [subtlety] rogue have gone toe to toe with a similarly equipped pally and it seemed pretty even with me losing by about 600 hitpoints due to a well timed consecrate.
mind you, people used to whine that rogues were op and said rogues require no skill to play. (these same people run around battles spamming arcane explosion, not that mages require no skill to play, but it does take no skill to spam arcane explosion. Kudos to those mages that do other stuff.)
That said, nerfing divine storm to physical damage was a good move. Rets tore through prot pallies and warriors a little too well.
But to take away all the critical damage bonus talents?!? Rets have always been about burst!
I guess its because there are more ignorant people out there than there are rational, learned folk. More of them whining to Blizzard about it than there are people telling them what works and what doesn't.
So if you have a ret pally, please tell blizzard what works and what you honestly think is op. If you don't have a ret pally, shut up or make one before you qq to blizz.
Oct 4th 2008 4:41AM Imagine being sword specced and popping blade flurry, and freaking murder spree with at least 2 mobs in the area.
Can you say instant devastation?
10 attacks from murder spree + 5 attacks from blade flurry+ 5% to proc an extra attack that will proc blade flurry.
