Jun 16th 2011 9:31AM I always imagined that technology moves differently in Azeroth because of...well...magic. Sure, today swords would be silly in warfare, but if you could imbue a sword to melt tanks when you slice them with it then they suddenly become interesting again (yes I understand it's still unfeasible in true "modern warfare" but bear with me). Trolls and Orcs can shoot projectiles from their hands, so guns are redundant in some ways.
This post is somewhat rambling but bear with me and think about it...if we had magic IRL it probably would have thrown a strange wrench in the history of tech design.
Apr 15th 2011 8:22AM Eh, with Magni gone that means Muradin will never get to leave the throne again as he wishes to do. I guess it may be what Blizzard wants, they won't have to write his character anymore.
Still, whenever anyone is crystallized I reserve judgment. It always has the potential to be an exceptionally convenient writing plot, rather like Dragonballs. Want an emotional tug? Kill a character. Don't worry about it either cause we can always bring him back later if we decide we want him again.
I'm not completely disagreeing, I think there is a good chance he is dead for good. I'm just saying writers love it when a character gets Han Solo'd.
Apr 12th 2011 11:40AM Ummm, no you wouldn't assume Altarius has grown. That's part of his character. If you had a child wizard as a boss you wouldn't go "The wizard has grown into an adult." Being the child is sort of part of his persona. As for the levels I'm not saying Eregos has a higher level. In fact if I were doing that Altarius would be my choice since he's a higher level than Eregos.
My point was the storm and earth brakes seem to be unintelligible beasts without the power of the titans. He doesn't stand a chance against a blue dragon like Eregos.
Apr 12th 2011 1:37AM Altairus is some nobody storm drake. Storm Drakes don't seem to exist within what we might call the "normal dragon families." If they were ever empowered by the titans, they've since lost that intelligence and power. While they are obviously more intelligent than your average beast, they don't seem to possess culture and what-have-yous that the five flights possess.
My personal theory is that the Proto-Drakes got lost in the elemental planes at some point and turned into the storm and stone drakes separately from the empowered flights.
Eregos is one of the greats; he stands alongside Azuregos, Kalecgos or even Malygos himself.
Apr 11th 2011 6:15PM I can use it while casting?
I was blind but now I see.
I shall never again be a mage of illegitimate intelligence. Thank you Mighty Moore.
Mar 17th 2011 10:23AM You can find Magatha's latest triumphs in Thousand Needles. You turn her into a raid boss at the end of the zone.
Feb 25th 2011 10:33AM At first I would have been inclined to support team lobster due to the socialization and familial relationships. Now I support lobsters for the lack of those very things.
I realized at heart */sunglasses* that I am a lobster. */rides motorcycle into distance*
Feb 25th 2011 10:12AM Horse-feathers and Bull-sha-ninny!
In general I often applaud "counter-trolling," be it a cannibal troll who simply finds trolls to waste time or some other form.
If she had out-scammed him and we didn't know the scammer was 11 we would all be applauding her for taking care of srz internet business. She instead took a higher route and still waste the troll's time but did it in a more sincere and constructive way. In my opinion the thing that the average internet lurker doesn't like (not that I'm accusing the people I'm responding do of going one direction or another) is that it's a very personal and human approach to this issue...which people obviously don't like based on the "you should report them harassment talking to him is harassing blah blah blah blah" replies. In real life if you'll get a tongue lashing for such behavior and it will often make you feel a little like scum. You can get one on the internet too.
Feb 25th 2011 10:05AM The "you get healed! you get healed! you get healed!" part of your post just brought visions to my head of Oprah handing out chain heals like she did those cars.
"And you get hitpoints! And you get hitpoints! And you get hitpoints!"
Oprah Windfury indeed.
Feb 24th 2011 1:17PM Has anyone seen that model where Ragnaros has legs? I guess it's his full body in the Firelands rather than his half-assed form in our world.
It looks neat but it's a little bizarre. :-\
It's like when they showed Kermit's legs on that bicycle in the muppet movie.
