Drama Mamas: Loot lessons {WoW}

Dec 29th 2011 7:40AM Look, our guild sticks to a ladder with loot (if you win something, you then go to the bottom of the list, and move up as others get gear). When we PUG, BOEs are then free-roll. When we don't, BOEs are in the ladder, or if not 'needed', are then sold and the gold goes into the gbank.

For soulbound boss-loot with PUGs, it becomes free roll, and if a guildie wins, they go to the bottom. If the PUG won, it's his/her only MH winning roll, no swaps, no trades, etc. We usually say something about this before the first boss, but if not, it gets explained after the first boss goes down.

I've also pugged in 80%+ guild groups, and most things are similar. If they have guild loot rules, I am usually made aware of them before or after the first kill, and they have nearly always been fair.

I think though, most guilds, that are using roll-type systems, usually go one MH, one OH roll per run, unless no one needs it, and then it's usually freely given.

The problem with the OP is pretty simple. A misunderstanding. However, handling it by asking to change it over for another item, probably wasn't accepted positively because it was another item. The fault falls on the RL/LL and the OP for one or the other to make known and commit to a loot system with the OP being a PUG.

And as for anyone thinking that the OP's sig is causing the negativity...it's not. This little quote is what is doing it:

"I really want to get revenge, but I'm not sure how."

Shifting Perspectives: Reviewing World of Logs parses, part 1 {WoW}

Sep 23rd 2011 3:42PM Damn nice showing people how to use logs to figure out how to better their play. I think the site should do this with all classes and play-styles...most people just don't know.

Raid Rx: Analyzing tier 12 healing set bonuses {WoW}

May 6th 2011 3:40PM I love the 2-piece druid bonus...no matter what, your mana regen goes up(as if we needed more), and now, popping ToL, multi LBs going around the raid, and ClearCast proccing, it's going to mean a lot of regen.

The 4-piece I've noticed people split, leaning towards negativity. However, I think you have to look at how the 4-piece would be best used. It's not really designed for 5mans...instead, that bonus is designed to make the druid think between going with the tank for AOE blooming on melee, or dropping it himself/herself for ranged AOE blooming.

And now, think of coupling the 2 and 4 piece...cast LB across the raid and it popping, along with clear casts...it's like having a Innervate and Tranq rolled into one:)
