Aug 12th 2009 9:29AM I agree with Tanek, if whole zones are being phased, their needs to be a way to go back a phase to aid someone else. Icecrown was hard for this. I would be in x phase trying to help a friend in y phase. There were some instances that I could help, like tanking a whole bunch of mobs so he could blow the abomination up on me for easier kills, but when he was ganged up on by a couple of horde, I could not aid at all but watch his health drop.
A big part of this game is being able to do content with each other. If that gets limited more and more, it will be harder and harder to play with those that are not on the exact same page you are. I could only imagine trying to aid a friend in getting the pre VC quests completed and realizing that I can't find him because my Moonbrook is saved where he is dying in a defias owned Moonbrook.
I am all for zones being revisited, having Moonbrook revitalized would be awesome, but I would also want to be able to help my friends out where they need it, and not be restricted because I already completed that content.
Jun 24th 2009 8:33AM I am interested in knowing which Tier items are available at this vendor. Is that available yet?
Jun 1st 2009 9:57AM For five man this is generally unneeded as explaining even the more difficult fight of Eregos can be done. For myself, I Co-lead the guild raids, and being a more social guild we sometimes need to pug. This checker helps gauge a players knowledge at a basic level. It won't be the end all for my decision, as I will check gear on armory, or ask to be able to inspect them. Thank you for posting this as I will be using it in those times I do need a final dps for Maly.

May 5th 2009 2:06PM Sorry muffin, but you needed to do a little bit of research before commenting. The question that was originally answered was about someone who had the gear from Naxx, which is more than enough for UP. The problem was that he had gotten it as an off set and was now considering learning to use it.
I believe UP is a good start. Especially if you need practice with LOS. The mobs that fear matched up with lots of usable corners makes the back end of this instance a good one. Besides, UP is fairly easy. The reason many do not find it easy is people do not understand a whirlwind means death to nontanks.
Apr 24th 2009 11:34AM Good article, and I totally agree. 25man gear should be greater than 10man.
The problem for those of us in the 10 man content right now is Ulduar. Naxx was done well. I was able to progress through it accumulating gear and badges to buy equal gear and buy those pesky tokens when it seems my whole guild is on the same token.
With Ulduar the same is not true. I will be getting upgrades through the badges in Ulduar, but not on par with the gear that I am receiving. Plus I am now unable to purchase my tokens and have to pray to elune that I can win that roll.
I realize that Blizz did not want to make t8 available to 25man raiders with the ability to buy them with Valor. But my question this whole time is why not create a 4th emblem. Instead of giving 10man raiders the leftovers, create a new badge. They did it for 25man, why not 10.
Now 25man raiders have to do 10man content to get the 'easier' token. It seems like such a simple solution.
Now I am pretty sure that the ilvl between Valor gear and Ulduar 10 drops is different, with Ulduar 10 being one higher, but I could be wrong. However, that still leaves the token problem for us 10man raiders.
I would never argue that I should get the better gear when I do 10 mans. However, I will argue that I should get the same chance at purchasing my token with 25man raiders.
Mar 26th 2009 8:57AM I would have to say when I learned I could take my Night Elf Druid and go to the human lands. Even though I died more times running there than I had the previous 12 levels, all the new scenery was amazing. Going through the tunnels to Loch Modan and then Ironforge. Compared to Darnassus this was a city. But once I took the tram to SW, I was sold. I ended up playing no less than through 10 new human characters just to be in that starting zone and city.
Not to mention that I immediately started on the Deadmines quests, and compared to Darkshore, the story was so captivating.
