Feb 1st 2010 7:25PM Hmm, I wonder.
When we saw the visions of Yogg Saron and we saw Bolvar was being tortured we heard the line "I will break you as I broke him". Maybe what we heard was Ner'zhul's voice and he was referring to how he corrupted Arthas, and was attempting to do the same to Bolvar. If he suceeded that might explain the whole "tell no one" spiel. With everyone thinking the Lich King is defeated, they will stop considering him a threat, making it much more potent and devastating if he does later emerge from the shadows.
I dunno, the whole "good" lich king idea seems a bit too clean for me.
Sep 4th 2009 11:46PM I hate Garrosh. From his emo whining in Garadar to his open hostility towards anything and everything that moves in Wrath.
When the "spoiler" was announced on MMO-Champion about a month ago, it made sense as Thrall seems to take Garrosh everywhere with him, without good reason. Sure, he's the son of Grom Hellscream but it seems someone with such a temper and a complete lack of diplomacy shouldn't be accompanying the Warchief until he's taken a cold shower and learned to chill a little. After the first violent outburst in Dalaran, then in the Crusader's Coliseum, you would think Thrall would have the good sense to leave him at home until he's not acting like an angry 15 year old kid anymore. That is, unless he's being primed to be Warchief. There's only so much storyline in WoW to bring him in.
I can't describe how much I don't want this whiny emo to be Warchief, however. My first impression of him is still from Garadar as 'The Impotent Leader' and I don't think he's gotten any better after learning the true fate of Grom (even if he's a little less emo). If he takes over as Warchief I still think he would be the The Impotent Leader; he is sorely in need of some humble pie. If he kills Cairne I want my own Tauren based breakaway faction so people know I think my figurehead is a total douche. I might even be tempted to pay the extortionate faction transfer price just to gank him myself as an Alliance.
/vote Captain Placeholder for Warchief.
Feb 27th 2009 10:09PM We tried testing Thorim earlier on the EU PTR... what a nightmare. Was able to log on 30 minutes before testing started... got three 132 errors in a row... then had login issues for the next 90 minutes. When we finally managed to log in, we grabbed a group really quick and set about testing... only to have them shut Ulduar down not long after.
Not sure how you're meant to test when you can't even get onto the servers (or stay on them without crashing for more than 5 minutes).
Really want to try Freya out tomorrow, but after that I think I'll take a break from testing until things are a little more stable.

Feb 17th 2009 6:43PM I could not agree more, Eliah. Thanks for doing an article on this.
I spent a lot of time working on my character. I play it because I enjoy playing it. I like knowing my skills and deciding when to use them. I hate the Malygos fight for this sole reason - on P3 I do not have control of my character, and I have to use the very clunky Vehicle Combat system. We don't get very many people in my guild eager to do the Maly fight, because we all hate P3.
I wouldn't have a problem with the vehicle combat system as much if it was enjoyable and well designed. But I find it extremely clunky and the camera angle is just such a pain in the backside. 1,1,2,1,1,2 on Malygos is mind numbingly boring. This is just my opinion ofc, but if they did away with it tomorrow I wouldn't miss it one iota.
Feb 17th 2009 2:58PM I, too, would be interesting in seeing a poll documenting how people feel about vehicle combat. Any chance of an article or topic regarding vehicle combat? I would love to see one.
I know from my experience in Wintergrasp and on Malygos I find it clunky and annoying. I was very disappointed to hear about it being such a fundamental part of Ulduar.
Jan 30th 2009 3:32PM There are some things you just can't unsee.
Nov 10th 2008 9:11AM I was expecting something truly epic, especially after talking to some of the NPCs in Warsong Hold and hearing some of the leaked sound files, but so far this event has been a bust.
Zombies were fun but too long ago and ended in a very disappointing way. The necropolis event has been a dead squib for ages now, most people farmed enough runes over the first weekend and most spots I see these days just have random scourge standing around not really doing anything. Not much of an invasion to me if they just stand there and not much of a threat.
Tigole said the Necro's were going to be around for a few days and Mirkblood for about a week. Both have been around for like 2 weeks now. Something has to have bugged or they decided not to implement the next phase.
I've still got waning hope we'll see SOMETHING else before Wrath goes live, but every day that passes with something makes me feel that's less and less likely. And even if it does come I can't help feel we missed out on part of it this whole past week.
