Jul 22nd 2009 2:41PM Yeah, as others have said, this change is most likely due to such an insanely small number of people having obtained one. Even with 3.2 gear, I bet most guilds won't be able to get these mounts.
Jul 17th 2009 4:06PM Great.
Wrath saw the flood of Arthas wannabes: Arthus, Arrths, Licharthas, etc.
The next expansion is going to see a flood of Twilight wannabes: Jacobblack, Jacab, JakeBlack.
Jul 16th 2009 5:00PM Loken's Lightning Nova is a 2-D attack. Eregos can fly. Unless Loken suddenly develops the ability to rotate LN 90 degrees, its Eregos all day.
Jul 14th 2009 11:59PM This would have been far more interesting if they had done it on 25-man. 10-man normal modes with their level of gear? XT in, what, 45 seconds? Hodir in 30? Why even bother?
The only thing I want to see are the raid comps. My guess:
1 DK tank
1 boomkin/feral druid tank
1 ele/resto shaman
6 mages and locks (divided however)
Jul 13th 2009 3:02PM Agree 100%.
We had this debate back in my old guild, a very acrimonious and ugly debate. I wish you had written this article earlier. Would have spared us a lot of drama.
Jul 10th 2009 3:15PM As mentioned by others, I think many hunters rolled DKs. Facerolling aside, the appeal of going from the most popular class and least wanted pure dps to the most powerful hybrid class is very enticing. Wanted as tanks, dps, and as pvp partners, what hunter who got turned down sight unseen for BC pugs wouldnt be tempted to reroll?
Lets not forget how hunter unfriendly Ulduar is. If youve got a mage and a hunter, the hunter isnt going to see much of Ulduar.
Jul 7th 2009 10:53AM Addons are okay until a person relies on them more than they rely on themself; that is, when the crutch becomes a permanent third leg and not just a tool to help through the difficult times. Try raiding Ulduar without DBM. It's quite possible on normal (hardmodes, not so much). You either learn situational awareness or DIAF. Bosses now emote more than ever and/or they have cast bars. Use those built-in functions, trust those. They never lie. Addons can be wrong, lagged, or simply broken.
Jul 6th 2009 1:54PM Hardcore or casual, I dont see this being used much. Maybe it's me: I prefer to reclear bosses to get more loot and thus make the harder encounters a little easier. Guilds that raid 7 days a week might benefit, but guilds that dont prolly wont; losing a day when you raid 3 or 4 times a week for one boss doesnt make a lot of sense. Whats more important, more practice or more practice with more gear?
Jul 2nd 2009 4:07PM Ive seen BM beat out MM and SV hunters, Ive seen SV top the meters on Vezax, Ive seen MMers pwn. Just because the spreadsheet says spec X/Y/Z is tops doesnt mean you will be on top every fight. There's this concept called "skill". If you cant manage your cooldowns, let your pet die, stand in the fire, your spec wont matter. L2P whatever spec you chose, then worry about improving your damage.
Jun 26th 2009 9:58AM The new proc rate and internal cd will hopefully mean more reliable procs. Right now LnL might proc 5 times in a fight, or not at all. Same fight, different attempts, same role, major difference in number of procs. This may be a change that beneffits us in longer fights. Might lucky on Hodir, but vezax now gets blasted a bunch.
