This is awesome - now the elitists have had their fun, the rest of us can get a look at what we paid for - that is the other 95% of the people playing the game. If you weren't Hardcore enough to get Heroic Rag down yet, well sucks to be you!
A victory already for casual players everywhere who understand that life>wow. For all those 14 year olds without responsibilities other than getting out of bed, and those basement dwellers who have only seen girls, but never talked to them, I''m sure your get your window of elitism back during the Deathwing raid, while the other 95% of us will have to wait until 4.4 (or maybe sooner!).
Jul 20th 2011 7:16PM You make a really good case for banning rogues. How about you go find another game?
Jul 20th 2011 6:17PM Your article describes the very reason why pvp servers suck. Good luck with your griefing...(shudder).
Apr 24th 2011 2:58PM My 15 year old is my second in command of our 150 toon strong guild. It teaches him responsibility, leadership, fairness, patience and tolerance.
He has been playing since he was 9. For a kid with some basic learning difficulties he has learnt and grasped maths, planning, research skills, widened his vocabulary, English comprehension and a wider range of social skills.
As a player he plays the game harder, faster and better than I can in every way - as an educational tool it has been outstanding, as a bonding experience between father and son it had been brilliant.
On Khaz'goroth I vigilantly police the trade channel to try and keep the realm horde side anyway as family friendly as possible, and invite all other parents to do the same. Surprisingly this works well, trolls exist but adult, racist and deliberately harmful tones don't.
Aug 4th 2010 1:44AM Without a doubt, this is the coolest picture to come out of the Cata beta so far...

I swear this is true...
Feb, 2005 - I created my first ever character, a Human Warrior, and then promptly ran out of the starting gates at Northshire Abbey to start exploring, looking for some direction about what to do and where to go. After running up and down the paths looking for some direction about what i should be doing ( I eventually went back to Northshire Abbey to find out about the glowing question marks). I happened to slay a rabbit, more out of frustration than anything else!
Then suddenly this druid like forest guardian character appears, gives me some kind of warning, and kills me instantly. Lesson learned - don't go killing the rabbits.
However, nothing has ever happened since to me or anyone else I know, no one can back up my story with a similar experience...maybe I was having some kind of new game hallucination or something...
There are so many memorable moments about why this is the best game of all time - the first time i saw Fozruk striding around Arathi Highlands, the very first flight from Westfall to Stormwind, the first flight from Stormwind to Ironforge instead of taking the tram - flying over Blackrock mountain zones and thinking - OMG this game is epic!! Look at those demon elemental things...and those minerals i can't mine yet...this game is huge!! Early one morning i came across the dragon that lurks between Alterac Mountain and Sorrow hill - that was a moment for a level 30... my first ever blue drop was a kaleidoscopic chain...
No game has ever captured and immersed as much as this one does - to still be playing the same game 5 years on is just amazing.

Followed closely by jousting. What a suck idea.

Whats your point Mike?
Don't forget it was Vivendi, Blizzard's parent company, that bought Activision, and hold the controlling share, so if things go south, blame Vivendi.
You guys need to get over it and wake up - its Money and Business that drive this game and ALL games forward from concept to reality, which you all pay for - if you dont like the companies direction, dont pay, dont play.
Relax. Activison Blizzard won't be tinkering with the golden goose as it is written into the contract with a very clear "Hands Off" clause - read through the releases at time of merger.
I'm pretty sure Red Octane and Infinity Ward get similar treatment - between the 3 star performers there must be at least 60-70% of the turnover of the worlds biggest 3rd party software publisher.
This years biggest game won't even be Warcraft related - Modern Warfare 2 will clean up. Any takers for who publishes this one?
And with that im off to play Starcraft:Ghost on my Xbox. Because this publisher never makes mistakes.
