Countdown to Cataclysm: Guild leveling and progression {WoW}

Dec 6th 2010 3:51PM I see this being the next raid or die fiasco...Blizzard should see that too, yet they don't.

The outcry will make the fall out from Jeff Kaplans interveiw with the New York times look like Sunday High tea.

But all I am interested in is getting the Reigns of The golden Lion..which should be doable even for a very small guild in time.

EVE Incursion trailer fortells Sansha's revenge {Massively}

Nov 20th 2010 1:09PM When they are able to translate that kind of intrigue into the games they make CCP will be sitting on a Scrooge McDuck pile of cash.

Behind the Mask: Eight ways for free-to-play {Massively}

Nov 18th 2010 3:37PM Then you sir are missing one of the very few polished fun to play MMO's to come out in the past decade.

It's your decsion though.

The Guild Counsel: The job you come home to {Massively}

Nov 18th 2010 1:36PM I really think most folks make it a lot more complicated than ity needs to be. I have led the same MMO guild since 1997; we have a few basic rules….

Don't do anything to embarrass yourself or the guild
Don't be a schmuck
Real life trumps games always

We also never allow anyone in who isn't sponsored by a current member and has played with us for at least two months; that alone has saved us a ton of headaches hair pulling and drama. I see so many guilds that just want bodies. “We have six zillion members and are actively recruiting anyone even if you don’t play MMO’S !!!” Or They want bodies and to further their guild as a brand name “Yes the Order of the sycophantic Gnoll is now Trade Marked, a LLC,and registered with the German Brewers League.”
It all detracts from what most people who play these games truly want and that is to have adventures with like minded friends.

15 Minutes of Fame: Film follows fantasy of fighting Onyxia {WoW}

You know.....I have been playing Pen and Paper RPG's since the mid 70's and MMORPG's since 1997 and I have yet to run into these stereotypical gamers. I mean do they hide out somewhere? Is there a secret club where rule number one is No one talks about Overweight socially maladjusted gamer club? Honestly I am amazed this one didn’t throw us the perfunctionary Hot girl who is really an Overweight socially maladjusted gamer on the inside.

The Daily Grind: What do you think about lifetime subscriptions? {Massively}

Nov 15th 2010 10:17AM If we track how most Lifetime subs have played out we can clearly see that it's only offered when a game will go F2P in the following 18 months so it really isn'y a Lifetime sub it's just a a bait and switch to buy a more expensive year sub.

So yeah they pretty much Blow.

Undead Labs talks about surviving the zombie social scene {Massively}

Nov 12th 2010 11:52AM Sounds like the same Snake Oil Paul Barnett was selling before Carrie Gouskos ate him.

Lifetime subscriptions fly back to Champions Online {Massively}

Nov 12th 2010 11:40AM You know....while playing champions I could see glimmers of the game that it was suppose to be when Cryptic was developing Marvel Universe online especially certain sections of the desert, and Canadian wilderness, but what we got was both an insult to MMO players, and Champions PnP players, as many issues as STO has it's head and shoulders better than the train wreck that is Champions Online....and they have the audacity to offer Lifetime memberships on the cusp of going F2P

Wow cryptic.....just wow.

Yes DCUO is a better game, it is the game that you guys should have made, but instead of adding worthwhile content fixing the bugs that have been there since beta you reoffer the 199.00 lifetime subscription for a Hundred dollars more. It takes balls to start pouring zippo fluid on a IP that is already burning.
