May 7th 2010 11:11PM If Feral DPS has been ferreted out by cat abilities vs bear, then why not exclude data that includes Rune Strike for DKs? That would remove tanks from the pool and allow for some DK information.
Apr 16th 2010 5:18PM Sorry to tell you this, but your sexual orientation doesn't matter to me. I'm not going to consider it at all when dealing with you, if it's an issue... it's because you're making it an issue.
As the drama mamma's said, orientation has absolutely nothing to do with this scenario.
Sorry, but you will be treated just like everyone else... I say this because your post seems to say that people of different sexual orientation deserve special consideration, which I do not agree with. At the end of the day, straight, gay, bi, whatever... we're all still people. Just as you wouldn't want a hetero bias, I won't condone a homo bias.
Apr 13th 2010 6:40PM My guild uses EPGP (similar to DKP) for loot, as such we decided to offer a program that allows raiders to donate a set gold value of items (or straight gold) in exchange for EP every week. The system is tweaked constantly to reflect market fluctuations for those that donate materials. We also of course just gbank and sell BOEs, and occasionally sell Uld HM Runs or Bloods from Rotface/Festergut.
All of this gold and materials of course went to getting the 6 tab gbank, stocking it with flasks, enchanting mats, feasts, uncut gems, popular PVE glyphs, etc.
It's always been my own belief that any sort of system like a raid tax should be reciprocal. There has to be a reward, and it shouldn't be compulsory. We're a casual raiding guild too, and it's policies like this that imo make it work.
Feb 11th 2010 8:48AM Yay, woke up early on my day off to get some stuff done in wow before raid time... LOL. I'm going back to sleep, atleast when I wake up the lag should be under control.
Feb 5th 2010 12:05PM I think the issue that's going to come up with a lot of people is that they already pay a subscription fee for wow. Why are they paying for more features? Traditionally it's either pay a sub, or pay for micro transactions. Having both seems a little "meh" to me. A lot of older players remember times when these features didn't exist but we also remember when something new was added we didn't have to pay for it unless it was an expansion. For example, we didn't have to pay a premium fee to get flagged for battlegrounds and arena. It was simply there. So, for me I'm fine with them as long as they remain benign "fluff" pieces, such as pets, mounts, tabards, etc.
Till now, premium services in the game have also had no effect on the actual gameplay. This feature will however. By providing easier access to the AH without even logging on, supply will change. Which will drive demand, etc. In essence, it will alter the landscape of the in game economy. To what extent remains to be seen: as we still don't have a lot of information on the functionality.
So, for now I remain warily skeptical. It's got potential for both great good and evil.
Oct 5th 2009 1:16PM It's funny, my guild on Bloodscalp has been looking for a solid raiding Demo lock for the past 2 months, we finally filled the position yesterday. Amidst many applicants going "Demo lulz, no way that's the worst spec ever!" those applicants were promptly declined. Thanks for the article, and keep the Warlock articles coming.
Oct 4th 2009 9:15PM Speaking as a tank, I'm very happy with the change to Misdirection. This will make managing threat on tricky fights like Hodir Hard Mode for instance much easier.
Aug 28th 2009 2:48PM You actually listed some of the specific rules listed on our guild's website lol. And why are they listed? Because for some reason, people are stupid enough to do these things.
