Apr 30th 2010 4:46AM Over the years, it is artistic merit and longevity that have really rated a film as #1 of all time.
In this vein, I make my suggestion for possibly the greatest MMO of all time when related to a movie.
WoCK - World of Citizen Kane
Mar 11th 2010 9:30PM I love my Mac, I game on it all the time, sometimes I have to boot it up as a PC, but the beauty of ALL blizzard games is their dual compatibility with Mac's.
I havent ever used an apple mouse however - even though they went away from the much hated single button device many moons ago.
I spoke with a rep from steelseries at blizzcon '08 who said their mac drivers would be out "very soon" after release. This never eventuated, but my WoW mouse pretty much fell apart after 3 weeks of usage, but at least it had pretty lights!
I've been using a G9x ever since and for most things it works just fine, but since official drivers from logitech have not been forthcoming - not to its full potential.
There are now drivers for my G15 keyboard now, but again - not to its full potential.
I realize that the mac gaming community is not huge, but with the huge surge in sales, especially for laptops, which hardware wise are pretty high end when compared to PC's, the gaming market would only grow if software hand hardware producers made more games for us.
The only reason that mac users don't play many games is that the quantity of games made for or ported to mac can literally be counted on two hands.
This is a great step in the right direction.
Feb 3rd 2010 4:06AM To be perfectly honest, one of the reasons I started to like this game so much was the friendly people who actually took time to explain to me what the hell was going on. That was five years ago when everyone was a nubsickle, but some people have just shot and petted their way to 80, never grouping or exploring a skill tree.
I like explaining the game to people who obviously have no idea what they are doing, because hell, if I were in their position, I sure would appreciate it.
By the same token - there are some incredibly rude and idiotic people out there, and my patience can only go so far. So in saying that, when they upgrade our bag space - can we have a larger ignore list?
Feb 1st 2010 5:18PM I'm sure someone has commented on this already in response to you post - but I believe that yes, the article is in fact referring to farming gold, and power leveling that breaks the terms of service - as in paying someone to do it, or paying for gold. leveling quickly or killing lots of things to get gold for yourself is just playing the game - it is when you let someone other than the account holder play as your toon - yeah that's where the problem for blizzard is- someone other than them making monetary gain from their product, without their written and legal consent.

May 6th 2009 7:32PM It's not easy for some classes, no.
But YES, if you play the games as intended, you'll get them - that being:
a) WSG - dont get tunnel vision & go ONLY offense or ONLY defense. The twain shall meet alot.
b) AB - flags go backwards & forwards so much in AB that just play reasonably offensively & u'll get a cap eventually.
c) EotS - it is not impossible for any classes to run the flag, just harder.
The biggest thing in any of these is teamwork. I have helped about 30 people get these achievements, be they in my guild, friends or random BG's from my battlegroup. Ask for help if you need it - yes some asshats will tell you to call for a waaaaaaambulance, but there are people who are willing to help, and imo - BG's are more fun with 2 or 3 of ur friends anyway.
oh and btw - i think may people have lost the point that these things are called "Achievements"
May 2nd 2009 12:29PM Well for me it took teamwork, just of a different kind,
I ran into the flag room, which was being camped by every ally and his dog, picked up the flag & instantly dropped it, it got returned, then i did the same thing.
90% percent of them realised what was going on but a mage decided that i needed to die. so i just rode back on in & did it again. The allies figured it out & did the same thing for us. I dont think there have been so many flag returns in a BG ever.
However i have to agree - this is a pretty suckful design, especially for ppl who dont pvp much, or are squishy as hell.
A better design would have been to win each of the BG's with your orphan out, but even that would have presented problems of having ppl dead with no orphan out.
