To start with:
"Hour of twilight" cast requires 3 people to stay behind with cooldown like dispersion.
I assume this requirement will be removed in LFR because its too hard for your non-listening pugs. Maybe ~8 minute enrage too(or very low health).. people are doing 16k dps for crying out loud and they are tunneling...you need like over 22k each to beat enrage.
I've run lfr 6 times so far and only abilities people have avoided (or pretended to) are:
First bosses black puddles
Kill ooze in unsleeping
Pretend to avoid ice walls in stormbinder (still 10 people die to it every. single. time.)
Bouncing on warlord? Seems I'm always only one doing it. Its ignored totally. They even made it so that after X amount of bounces the ball automatically goes to boss...
Beam/ball thing on first boss? 3 people maybe ever go near the ball..not that it matters it doesnt even do damage.
Ice walls on stormbinder? Like I said theres at least 10 people that die to it :s
I just cant imagine why is it like this. Do people that ignore all boss mechanics actually enjoy doing this and playing the game?
Dec 4th 2011 12:04PM Most likely week or few days on "every months first weekend" iirc.
Dec 4th 2011 11:34AM Also there should be teleporting elf on ogrimmar flightpoint area that teleports you to TB for 30 silver. This took forever to find info about and shes not even marked anywhere..
Dec 4th 2011 11:33AM Before you enter
Remember to bring:
-5 simple flour for cooking quest
-Your favorite fishing pole for fishing quest (theres vendor for normal stuff)
-15 fossil fragments for arch quest.
-Proper Cologne to wear, no one likes smelly taurens stuffed next to you on the minigames.
And remember to bring profession stuff with you for rest of the profession-quests, you can find them wowhead...for example tailors need red dye, blue dye and coarse thread. Enchanters need nothing.. etc.
Nov 29th 2011 5:44AM They should give raise to the people who made the music. Without the epic music the trailer would be huge lackluster. I mean look at the trailer with sounds off..
Seriously, the way this was done was bit too simple to get excited like on most other trailers, which is shame.
I have to wonder how this could happen? Blizzard has the BEST cinematics team on whole gaming industry. How can THIS happen? I mean, its not like cinematics team is busy doing mop? Metzen couldnt take day off to do voice overs? Way too rushed :S
I mean lets break it down:
Make raid, rotate camera around boss while they fight.
Go to 5man, fly around in camera.. zoom in on some scripted events..
Add text on black background.
Add music from raid.
Thats it..? Thats something intern on video-editing could do in like week or few days..
Most of the footage was from 5mans..which is no wonder as 5mans have the most graphically new stuff to show.
Where was Darkmoon faire? Where was transmog/void storage? Where was raid footage??
Where was voice acting? Guess they just want to get rid of cata asap.
Nov 27th 2011 5:16PM Any idea how "sells to vendor" prices are done?
For example most items, even if same exact stats, in Trial of the Crusader have different prices from Alliance and Horde versions..even some cataclysm quest rewards sell for different amounts even if they got same name but are from faction specific quests!

I think the issue here becomes that IF the bosses have mechanics that require you to NUKE stuff then having "nuke" that makes your dots more powerful wouldnt really work because its not going to be pure nuke in sense of "hey, powerful hitting nuke" rather then "hey this hits low but makes your dots hit hard in tradeoff of the weak nuke dmg".
That might change in future encounter desing tho but then again.. theres still those mechanics in some bosses right now. "Nuke this add fast or you will die".
Imagine doing add near hammer on ragnaros as affli lock with no stuns.
Not really going to work properly now is it. Now imagine that without sbolt nuke where you have to add all dots and-..oh raids dead already.
But of course, we shall see how it goes.
Nov 19th 2011 3:13PM We got our first staff last week on 10man and we've been progressing heroic modes since week 2 (week1 normal mode etc). We've been doing about 18 shannox and rhyolith heroics so far and 10-15 others. We are 6/7 also.
While other guild, 25man, with similiar progress has 2 staff users and very very close to 3rd already.
Since I was meant to be second who to get staff on our raid I simply gave up and havent even gone past first staff. No one wants to get dragged to firelands for months and months for legendary that I will prolly take so long it becomes irrelevant or mop happens to get released making legendary obsolete cos wands are mainhanders ;D
Nov 18th 2011 10:46AM THIS is the reason why I dont want archeology to "get better rewards" unless its total revamp of the system...
I really would hate if all cool looking items would be "archaeology only" like lets say Sentinel glaives.
At the same time I want arch to be better and it to evolve..
but then again I dont because of the major FLAWS it has. Yes the desinged features became flaws to me. Rng on top of rng with spice of rng is just annoying.
Unless its actually desinged better so that each "race" has cool looking item set thats not super rng to get..then sure. I would love to look like Night elf Sentinel from WC3 or heck..warden.
Nov 12th 2011 2:35PM One that can do it is Badboy and its plugin called BadBoy_CCleaner which filters all an**l and dirge (and other realm-exclusive things of your own choice) spam from trade if you so desire.
Theres choice of either being transparentish grey (pictured) or going totally away..
Oh and CCleaner also removes the spam of "has marked X with SKULL" spam it seems
