Mar 10th 2012 1:48AM I was in line at midnight for ME3. I was psyched. I loved every minute of it right up until the end of the game...when it all unraveled and crushed my soul.
Mar 6th 2012 12:45AM The Wumpus!
Mar 6th 2012 12:29AM My mains name is Lathram, and I used it in Star Wars Galaxies. For galaxies I think I just made it up.
Several other characters kept with the L theme, then some others I named after various mythologies deities. Khons is a healer, as is Aibell, which corresponds to their namesakes.
Then of course there's Wumpus the shaman.
The Wumpus was a goofy purple character on Greg the Bunny on IFC. Oh, Wumpus.
Feb 27th 2012 3:44PM My first thought when I saw the headline was "Is it April first already?" but that's obviously not the case.
Being an early adopter is sort of a moot point when 64 bit has long since been the industry standard. Look at Adobe for example. For years they've had a 64 bit native Photoshop. It may be a different beast, but the reason I bring it up is because both photoshop and WoW demand at least a certain level of hardware performance. Furthermore, both have a very demanding userbase.
If Adobe had released a client that could take advantage of all the extra memory that graphics machines needed, but then took it away, brought it back (and it worked great), then broke it once their users got used to it...well, think how well that'd go over.
The point I'm making is that people who are vocally upset over this are perfectly justified to be upset. They pay for their product just like everyone else.
Feb 18th 2012 3:23PM Somehow I knew it'd be a Sleigh Bells video up top just as soon as I saw the title on my RSS feed. Overall, Sleigh Bells isn't quite my thing. However, I do love Comeback Kid.
...and frankly, how hot is that singer? Dang.
Feb 16th 2012 10:34PM Really? Murlock-Anglerfish? Really?
You gave the creepiest fish ever the ability to walk and grab?
WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!?
Feb 14th 2012 2:58PM What do Worgen Druids think of Pandaren?
Jan 31st 2012 4:17PM I too am among the 16GB memory crowd.
I built the machine for processing large format digital images, but luckily it works well for gaming too!
I'd love to finally let WoW take advantage of all that extra memory.
That being said, it sounds like their 64 bit application is in no way ready for prime-time. I hope they get the kinks worked out soon.
Jan 9th 2012 11:35PM Man, they were really on that one.
It took how long to fix what I assume is a simple overridden variable?
My programming knowledge does not extend past rudimentary BASIC from the early 90's...so, maybe it's more complex than that, but I can't imagine it's weeks of toiling over lines of code.
Whatever. At least now I'll know exactly what the obnoxious frat kids on /trade are yelling about. That language filter filters a surprisingly wide variety of words.
Dec 14th 2011 10:51AM Lens flares = glamor?
Oh boy. Are you secretly JJ Abrams?
