Nov 11th 2008 11:06PM Today I've installed Windows Vista via Bootcamp and W.A.R.
No QQing here, I just want to play an MMO and that one works.
I love WoW, I'll probably come back to WoW, but for at least the first month of WotLK, my account is cancelled.
Nov 11th 2008 7:18PM I'm amazed at how civil these comments are and the number of people who are defending Blizzard.
QQ or not, the bottom line is I can't play the game. Real life obligations seldom allow me to play this fantastic game and lately when I am able to play the game, it doesn't work. This has been ongoing for the last month, not just today.
I am installing Warhammer right now. I'm not installing it because ZOMG I HATE BLIZZ WTF, I am installing it because I would like to play an MMO and I can't play this one.
Certainly I'm angry on a base level, but even from a position of reason this downtime is unacceptable. It's not about money or resources either; this amount of downtime would be unacceptable even for a free service. I also develop software, and I understand that things can go wrong, but there are systems in place to keep mistakes from affecting the customer (testing, *cough*).
Mark my words, Wrath will not work. It just won't work. On release, many people will install whatever is on that disc, and then they won't be playing Warcraft. It's not ready and it won't work. I'm surprised so few people are predicting this, because it seems obvious to me.
Nov 8th 2008 6:51PM Servers are down again, game and web site.
Oct 12th 2008 4:13PM The one I've been waiting for!
