About the Bloggers: Josh Myers {WoW}

Oct 13th 2011 7:38AM For the Herd!

I used to exclusively play Tauren. I've got a few others now, too - notably, a couple trolls and a goblin - but my main and current primary alt are both Tauren. I've espoused the creation of a neutral faction (with Tauren and Draenei) for a while now.

I'm especially not a fan of the Horde's rapacious treatment of Stonetalon and Ashenvale, previously two of my favorite zones in the game. But, I'm not a tree-hugging night elf, either.

Breakfast Topic: Did you accomplish your Brewfest goals? {WoW}

Oct 6th 2011 9:06AM Pretty sure that Kodo are mammals, which means that they've got hair too. :)

Did I accomplish my brewfest goals? Still no mounts; a couple trinkets and one Tankard, but they're already far worse than the gear I'm using. Didn't bother getting the title on my other active level 85, nor did he win any trinkets (nor would they have been upgrades...), and the toon that I did most of the brewfest stuff on is still in the high 60s.

All the World's a Stage: Roleplaying plot points Q&A {WoW}

Oct 3rd 2011 7:53AM I have a general timeline observation/question. Anne, you stated that we are currently in year 28. However, most timelines I've seen put year 28 as the end of WC3 and Vanilla launch, with the events of TBC and WOTLK coming around 30-32. Follow that with an undefined gap to post-Cata, and we're probably at *LEAST* in year 33 based on those timelines. That's not official information, of course.

Ultimately it doesn't make a huge difference in the timeline - whether a character would have to be 8, 9 or 14 to not know about certain historical events, most of us don't RP them being that young. But it's also tough to fit much personal history into a timeline where many highly-significant events have occurred within the past 10 years.

Breakfast Topic: Do you enjoy leveling? {WoW}

Sep 27th 2011 10:01AM My baby shadow priest (well, he's a level 60 Tauren, so not so babyish...) is having a blast too. Even as a clothie he's taken on some pretty lopsided fights and emerged relatively unscathed. It seems that the secret is to open with a nuke, DoT them up and burn them down before they can get in melee range. :)

Last night he was in Hellfire Peninsula doing one of the portal quests. Level 59 at the time. A level 61 elite came out of the portal and aggroed on him at about the same time as two other patrolling mobs came by. Pretty sure that his health never went below 40%.

Sep 27th 2011 9:00AM I really like leveling, but I also do a lot of end-game stuff, leveling professions, etc. I'd rather start on a new realm than delete a level 85 character - by the time they reach about level 40, they're part of the "family"...

Sep 23rd 2011 11:47AM Ah. That slipped my mind. :)

That is all.

Sep 23rd 2011 11:39AM BoP, you mean. BoE means that it can be sent to other characters. However, anything that drops off a boss is normally BoP and can only be traded to others who were in the same dungeon run, and only for a limited time.

Breakfast Topic: What could WoW borrow from console games? {WoW}

Sep 22nd 2011 8:28AM > damage taken and received

Aren't these the same thing?

I always thought that players should be able to take part in the races at Thousand Needles, Mario Kart style. Until they turned it into an inlet, of course.
