Jul 24th 2011 9:00PM That's what THEY want you to think!
Jun 8th 2011 9:29PM I'm really happy about 4.2. I'm about to start a new job after moving and it's the summer and while I do like 'endgame', I like playing more. I don't want to start some new class and character and do similar things from a different perspective. I like my main's class and abilities and playing them in brand new places with new goals is awesome.
I am really on board with the Firelands the same way I was excited about Quel'Danas (and (sort of Wrathgate). That I'm playing I really like with limited time but actually doing something.
May 1st 2011 8:26AM Low-level tanks don't get a lot threat generation abilities until around 35-40, so really read that as, "Tanks don't get a lot threat generation abilities until around 35-40".
Next time, tell the DPS to slow it down, as it was them for being "gogogogoogooooo" but it was you not telling them to knock it off.
Apr 26th 2011 11:04AM I'm not sure how I'm going to finagle this (on a Macbook, move the whole of the WoW folder to my external drive, download, unpack, and install the patch, move it all back to the main drive?) but a Blue put up a Sticky saying: Yes, the patch itself is about 350MB but to entirely unpack it for the install you'll an extra 9 Gigs of open space.
This doesn't quite seem like the most optimal efficiency.
Apr 26th 2011 9:30AM Anyone else getting an error message with the updater? The patch seems to be about 400MB. I have a little more than 3gigs free of space on my harddrive. Yet, I keep getting the "Insufficient space" error. Others on the main forum are getting it too.
Apr 23rd 2011 9:08PM By "Frost-spec", do you mean a classic(-ish) Deep Frost or the fridayfridayfriday funfunfun FFB-Frost oriented spec (because Ignite!) or it really doesn't matter?
Apr 13th 2011 1:05PM While fishing is terrible (it is) and cooking less so, the dailies help. A lot. 4.1 is adding dailies to other cities non-BC (TB, UC, IF and Darn). The ones in Dalaran help also.
The Dalaran fishing ones are more work than the Old World dailies, but that just means more skill points and are still easy compared to fishing for its own sake. Also it's easy to get distracted by other fishing things in Dal, like the stupid rat I've never got in the sewers, the coins in the fountain, or the key to the chest under VH that I've never fished up either, leading to quicker skill-leveling. Also you can get neater prizes in the Dal fishing bags.
Also the chef's hat makes the whole cooking thing faster. It is fancy like that.
Apr 11th 2011 3:44PM One of the greatest successes of Cataclysm is the way they have incredibly accessible: the revamped talent trees.
If you come to a class and want to play a certain spec, you can start as soon as you pick a tree. If you want to tank, and you're all like "Warrior! Tank! Go!", you can do that. You can learn your desired role while actually playing as your desired role and all the things that come with tanking. And, you can progress and level by tanking (or healing- whatever).
They've made the game actually accessible by making the entirety of the game accessible early on. It also lets players learn the higher end aspects of the game early as well, things like threat, timing and the GCD, and proper pulling.
Apr 9th 2011 3:24PM Akiva up on top had the right idea with DMC: Wrath
But, Archmage Pants led me to an interesting thought with that dumb Cold Streak quip, by actually having a talent that is Cold Streak, something that works like that DMC but instant Fbolts or (really) FFBs until a crit instead.
That would be algebraic. Totally rhombus.
