Dec 29th 2008 9:16PM I've never been a raider, never having the ability to commit to any raid schedule. My online times are always changing. WotLK has been glorious for me. I'm not currently in a guild for this reason so I'll never regularly raid even now with all of the 10-man content. Tonight I joined a PUG Naxx25 which had already cleared all wings. With a few inexperienced people (myself included) we downed Sapphiron and KT with 3 attempts each. OS 10 and 25 are a walk in the park with PUGs. Heroics are fun, fast, and generally full of people with t7.5 level gear, so hardly ever a failure even if people don't always know what they're doing.
Still can't get Eye of Eternity done reliably though ;)
Dec 18th 2008 2:42PM I'm a resto druid, and I enjoy healing. I don't think it feels like whack-a-mole, it's more of a balancing game for me, and there's a good feeling when i can judge well incoming damage (instant and per second) and apply the right dot or combination of dots for the situation.
I'd hate to be a paladin xD
Dec 17th 2008 6:51PM I'll just comment so I can click my name and change it then :)
Dec 16th 2008 10:59AM I'm very guilty of 2 things -
Wishing that making real money was as easy as the AH. Since inscription was released I've made approx. 20k from it, most of this from semi-intelligently looking at supply and demand on the AH. If only I could make some real money in a similar way :(
Ninja-ing the last piece of bread, cookie, sip of a drink.. that sort of thing.
I hate it when people say things such as "lol" IRL - particularly when they don't even say it, they spell it. There's one friend in particular (who'll know it's him if he reads this) who says things like "we'll win this, en pee" (for "np" - "no problem"). Every time I hear something like that I die a little inside.
Dec 14th 2008 12:34PM That's what SHE said!
Dec 14th 2008 10:52AM Defense over the cap still grants dodge and parry to death knights. Assuming that the DK is having no issues with TPS, they don't need the higher damage offered by other sigils and there would be no reason not to take this for extra mitigation.
Dec 13th 2008 9:20AM The dictionary will also tell you that aluminium is a perfectly valid spelling. It's not a magical extra letter, it really is there. "Aluminum" may be a recognised word these days, but it still pisses me off.
I think what annoys me more than anything else is the use of "whit" for "with". I know some people really do pronounce it that way too - it saddens me. Of all things, "whit" is the one thing that will stop me from inviting someone to a group.
Nov 15th 2008 2:44PM On the other side of this is the great money to be made selling these items on the AH. I've had level 69 green one-hand maces dropping with almost as much spellpower as the Shard of the Virtuous (Maiden @ kara) and handfuls of int/spirit/stamina. They've been selling for 50g easily, I could probably have asked more.
While you're at the AH don't forget to look out for the new major glyphs for all classes coming from Northrend Inscription Research. It will take a while for all of the new ones to show up, and certainly a while for them to be as cheap as older majors are - but some of them are great. (Note - there are no major glyphs from anything other than research, which requires an investment into the skill, so don't expect them to cheap in any way yet)
Nov 10th 2008 8:54AM Gief! (please?)
