Feb 6th 2009 5:37PM Arrows cost $
Shards do not.
Bag space is nice for everyone, but hunters are the only ranged class paying gold for every attack.
At least locks dont get charged gold for every cast.
And, unless you are in heroic raids, you probably dont need more than 5 or 6 shards to play it safe, and you can always kill a trash mob for more. It's not like you have to fly back to a city, and pay about 30g when you run out.
Feb 4th 2009 3:24PM All of this is still a moot point if Blizz still hasnt fixed resiliance stats and class disadvantages.
And all of you that do arena... you know who you are hitting first for an easy kill.
Rating doesnt even seem that important considering the gear is shit below 1900 anyways. Also, if you look at a class census in arena above 1900 you might notice that certain classes are just SOL.
Jan 29th 2009 1:10PM I don't know if you still can, but I liked getting a lock to summon a friend while we were on the back of a boat.
Almost every time the person is left in the water in the middle of nowhere, and if you get lucky, they suffer exhaustion and die.
Jan 29th 2009 12:57PM BRAVA DAVE (but locks and rogues are fine for dps atm)
"GC claimed the sky wasn't falling and don't get carried away.
The sky fell, %90 of hunters who give a crap about their DPS in a raid setting switched to Survival, the rest switched to Marks, everyone got carried away.
It's happened before, it'll happen again, don't put your faith in the development team because they'll just let you down. They don't really care about the customer, the PTR is %100 worthless since they don't even listen to the feedback and it's better just to switch to a new class whenever yours gets a huge nerf so the developers realize exactly where they're messing up. If everyone just goes about their lives and keeps playing a hunter, they'll never really get the message that anyone's actually upset about these changes."
Jan 28th 2009 5:00PM ok, obviously blizz doesnt listen. hunter forum posts were off the charts. that said, any other company to release a product without testing, and with known errors would be economically castrated.
now that survival hunters have found a way to dps, they will be nerfed. blizz has made it well known, they dont want any hunter spec to succeed in arena, and now they are taking away the niche we have finally filled in PvE.
time to roll a new class.
Nov 11th 2008 9:49PM Doesnt it seem like they could have held off on this mail issue until tonight when servers reset?
I think most people who are being forced to wait now, would be fine with getting thier mail-box contents tomorrow.
Personally, I live in an isolated area, and I was looking forward to spending a big portion of the day leveling my alt before the expansion.
So now we miss a world event, and experience what may be an omen for the near future.
Oct 15th 2008 4:54PM Another concern I recently thought of is, while going up against a mana drain team in arena, it is very likely that you will find yourself at 10% or less mana then be forced to use this aspect. At the end of a fight, this is no way to finish off an opponent, and it may be nearly impossible to regain mana, if you are locked in melee combat, which is very likely.
At zero mana, your only option is auto shot, which is slow and requires you to stand still... This is practically impossible in every arena situation I have encountered.
Some amount of passive mana regain would possibly make hunters viable again. Blizz attempted to fix the hunter problems with Disingage and Deterence, but if they boost hunter's melee, and make them the fastest mana loosing class in the game, then Blizz is really working backwards.
Oct 14th 2008 4:12PM I have a feeling that whatever change that Blizz settles with, will more than likely be a huge handicap in arena.
In the past, I would use AotV throughout the entirety of a fight. Mana drain teams do really well, and I would easily take the extra mana over the small amount of extra damage with AotH.
Oct 14th 2008 2:15PM Probably spend way too much time reviewing my talent tree in order to customize my favorite PvE and PvP settings... Now if only Blizz would let us save two specs, my wallet would be much hevier.
