Oct 16th 2010 12:09PM I signed up to prepare for Cataclysm, patch 4.01 kind of blindsided me, but considering that I'm restarting on a new server (no uber-tier10 alts with riches galore) I'm really finding the patch awesome!
They aren't kidding about the lack of balance prior to 85 though :P. Yeesh.
Jul 6th 2010 1:32PM Well, I've just gone through and deleted all the posts I ever made. I'm pretty annoyed about the idea of future employers searching for my name and finding a bunch of talk on the World of Warcraft forums.
I can see it now: "Well, he sure likes posting on video game forums, PASS!"
Jun 8th 2010 1:00PM "How do you kill that which has no life?"
Apr 5th 2010 12:57PM I find it sad that what I would consider the 'real twinks' (in my opinion referring to those that actually played against other twinks) have no real BG options. I actually tried setting a couple of my leveling characters who had hit 29 or 39 or whatever to no-EXP just to see what the twinks were playing like. A game never started... ever.
Maybe they made twinking more fair in some aspects, but they also eliminated it as an option for anyone who wanted to PVP in a competitive environment without going to the trouble of gearing up for arenas.
I self-twinked my first character for awhile prior to the Burning Crusade expansion, a druid (Quercus) in the 29's bracket. I didn't have the best enchants or completely optimal blues/greens, but I was pretty well set for flag running, and I had just enough skill in alchemy to make my own potions and whatnot. I miss fighting some undead warlock named Tradewind on Lightninghoof. I don't think I ever beat him in a straight up one-on-one fight unless he was lagging pretty badly.
Mar 16th 2010 2:25PM I enjoy hanging out with my 50ish Aunt on the other side of the continent as a tank(DPS)/healer(DPS) combo, but at 21 I've been the youngster in the guilds I've joined so far. Roll of the dice I guess.
Mar 16th 2010 10:23AM Come on dance party, those 25-man VOA runs can be so boring :P!
Mar 3rd 2010 8:58PM My main is a Death Knight who is trying to gear up for 10-man raids through 5-man random dungeon pugs. The number one problem I have is keeping threat, because often the DPS heavily outgears me... and completely refuses to lay off the AOE button! Often the misc hunter or warrior (typically the worst offenders) won't give me time to DnD+Unholy Strike+Pest+Howling Blast a group of mobs, which results in me having to do some really stupid sub-optimal thing like DnD+Howling Blast into the normal tab-tab-tab rune-dump-rune-dump.
I swear that the next time I see some impatient piece of DPS refuse to wait for my DnD's cooldown, or for me to take stock of the mobs, I'm just going to /sit and /laugh while the mobs chew 'em to pieces.
Oct 22nd 2009 12:22PM Oddspecs? Fine. Just don't ask me to group you :p.
Oct 1st 2009 8:33PM I am disappointed with the nerf to the Icy Touch glyph. I guess they didn't like unholy DKs having a rotation that provided so much power from Death Coil? Make Scourge Strike a bigger part of my damage already. I can't help it if Death Coil is awesome!
Hmm, I wonder what I'll put in that slot when the changes com.
