Apr 3rd 2012 4:09PM Ohhh you gave me a crazy idea! Dynamic events within a dungeon!!!!
(YAY for centaur examples!!!)
Perhaps a world quest could trigger a event in a instance dungeon; the centaurs after defeat, retreated into a cave (dungeon) effecting the path you would need to travel to complete, the mobs inside, reward set, cinema -RP stuff, goals (perhaps a airship is on fire, and crashing, and your team need to get to a escape pod, put out the fires)
In other games that was always one of those things that annoyed, once you level through a world region, there was never much a point to return. There a concern that high level stuff would make low level confused, or fearful.
Mar 22nd 2012 4:04PM I liked the original model too, it was probably the best game dragon I've seen to date.
Mar 22nd 2012 1:32AM I tried to play Aion again last month, because of 3.0. The game just will never cut it, and it's sad too, because you want to love it so much.
The game killers
lack of endgame pve content
Still painfully grindy, (here a good example, I have a "parts" quest, and the mobs will only drop 1 body part, and not 100% of the time. The quest wanted 25 of one mob, and 25 of anouther, total 50 mobs. The experience from the quest was rather low.)
Manastones and enchanting faliures
You have angel wings, but there few places you can fly, and not at all in the main cities.
The new content will not correct this, only exist Aion customers will be happy with this patch. Keep in mind also, Korea does hand me down content. Poor game is like a greek tragedy, I feel bad for it, because it could have made it.

Mar 14th 2012 2:53PM Console MMOs are ok, but only after you make them for the PC first. FFXIV is a prime example of that mistake. Keyboard and mouse controls, the menu interface are all funky, because they made them for the console first. Also keep in mind the big idea of the MMO is the online and interaction between players. Console MMO, require a keyboard for texting and a vent system. That's just how it is, if there no communcation, there no real point to the game being a MMO at all.

I noticed that too, that's not reassuring. The boss makes a declaration, and the other guys goes... NOoooooo!.
