Apr 26th 2009 2:17PM Maybe Varian found out that the whole idea for a "new plague" has been on the the mind of Sylvanus for ages? Way, way back in Vanilla, there was all the talk of a "new plague," all under the direction of Sylvanus and her apothecaries. I don't know when Putress arrived to backstab everybody, but in the beginning it was Sylvanus' idea to kill everybody/turn them into Forsaken. Of course, there's the excuse that she was doing that because nobody would except the Forsaken as a legitimate power, so I guess it just comes down to stupid leaders on both sides making stupid decisions.
