Oct 28th 2010 3:57AM I think a really good idea would be that we'd still collect Shadow Orbs and then add an extra non-GCD button, like torrent or IF, that releases the orbs and either buffs our next MB by x/x/x or gives a buff for the next x/x/x seconds that increases the damage of our DoTs! Oooh it'd be so exciting.
(Or figure out a way to instantly refresh a SW:D again :D )
Oct 14th 2008 11:32PM there are a lot more reasons that priests aren't pvp viable. i won many many duels without dispersion. i think devouring plague is a much more useful talent.
Oct 14th 2008 11:21PM I just spent roughly an hour PvPing in my pve gear. Even if I were full Brutal, if the other classes were playing their classes right then I should be losing. A big bonus is the 100% bonus damage on crits but limited MB/SWD make us more of a kiting class. If I stood anywhere too long it was pretty much over unless I could get a fear off and I had already made them pop their trinkets and whatever else. Against talented PvPers it was clear that I put out more damage but there is still a HUGE lack in survivability. More DPS does not equal more survivability.
Dispersion is a fail talent. The only time you really need 36% of your mana back is when you've already spent a good deal of time in the duel. If you pop it early, you don't get the mana return, and if you pop it late, you're pretty much guaranteed to die because you have no health anyways when you get out. 90% damage reduction is nice, but it really does nothing other than delay the inevitable. I don't see myself PvPing as shadow anymore until changes are made to increases survivability against other classes that have even higher DPS now than they did before. (45 Second Wolves that Heal when they attack? Really? REALLY? That talent is awesome. Turning into a fart cloud that returns mana? Not so cool. )
